  1. Just got fired twice in the last 2 business days.
one a guy I’d worked with on a new build (so I was expecting fuckery) for about 9 months- got the credit up- for him qualified when they couldn’t blah blah blah, and he left over $10 a month.
the other guy that just fired me was turned down a couple different places until I got him approved (had a lender make 2 exceptions about some difficult stuff while we were shopping and that got his debt ratio down to 49.8) because he got offered 1/4 of a point better. Now- his wife was on the job self employed 18 months and they are a super slam dunk easy loan once they file taxes in 25 and I told him I’d pay all his fees and refinance him for free at my cheapest lender at that time.
$924.00 on his timeline is what it will cost him.
I never get fired. I was on my way to the biggest month I’d had since early 2022 so it’s not that big a deal (the other 10 people I’ve got locked for May haven’t fired me yet!) I’m sitting here with a bemused smile on my face.
Question for the board (if this guy who’s been turned down multiple times comes back should I close him?
Some people will trip over a dime to pick up a penny.
  2. Grandy’s breakfast buffet slapped back in the day.  If you had a bunch of teenagers at a basketball tournament and they were going to be playing 3 games that day, it was an excellent way to pump some calories into them.  On a side note. I came across a Grandy’s that is still open last month while I was driving through a part of town I don’t go through very often when I had to renew my drivers license.  Curiosity got the best of me, and there are 20 or so of them still around across 5 states.
There's one in Brunswick,GA, not too far from the paper mill. Mill boys were packing the plates when I was down there for a job last year.

  3. Had a neighbor who worked in Antarctica 6 months ago year. His wife would meet him in NZ for a month after each year. They planned to retire there. Thats where I would go.
It's truly breathtaking. Besides eating lamb/mutton, that's the only issue I had. Volcanic black beaches are cool. Night life was just nuts.l, women were very nice (borat voice).

Never in my life have I seen some much booze...much less on a C-17, just pallets of Jack, Tequila, and Rum all packed around snowmobiles.

Definitely worth going back, and Christchurch is an awesome city.
  4. Can't speak of the ocean, but I spent some time down there supporting the national science foundation during my time in the USAF...Operation Deep Freeze in 2011.

Cool place, but it's cold and windy. I wouldn't go back. We staged out of New Zealand, stunning country. Loved it there and had a blast.

  5. Shows you how stupid people making NFL decisions are.
I had never of it before right now, but I wouldn’t base a hiring decision on some promo doc from when someone was in high school. Then again, I will never be in that position.
Lol! If you saw the show, you would understand. He was a complete D bag. I know people change, but I have a hard time after watching his parents support that type of behavior.

Tigers don't change their stripes, just their environment.
