  1. He was cuffed, naked, on the ground in snowy weather and had a spit hood on. then an officer gets on his back with a knee and another cop literally puts both hands around the back of his neck as he pushes dudes face into the fucking pavement as you can literally hear him get choked the fuck out. he was brain dead within minutes and the officers stood around laughing and joking about sticking a rectal thermometer up his ass. dude complied with every single command in the beginning of the video, was clearly unfucking armed and still ended up dead within 7 minutes.

    2 minutes.
  2. What exactly are you seeing in that video?

  3. Hoping this is the beginning of rotation to value stocks.

Small cap, tech, next generation fuels, weed have all had some pretty solid months, where do you think these value stocks are? Oil? REITs? Banks? High paying dividend stocks? Looks like travel has been enjoying a solid week, but man, I think travel getting back to pre corona levels isn’t anything that’ll happen soon?

Obviously, we aren’t all going to see eye to eye on this situation. The next question is: what is it going to take to stop the rioting? What is the ultimate goal? What will be pointed to and it will be said that they achieved that goal because of the riots?

Police reform and the end of systemic racism is going to be a long process. I don’t think anyone can deny this. Is the goal to continue rioting indefinitely? Is it going to end if/when Trump is voted out?

I know I’m going to hear stupid shit like “sorry if my struggle to end racism is an inconvenience for you”. I’d like a real, thoughtful answer please.

voting/meaningful discussions on the police reform bill sitting on McConnell's desk would be a nice start: https://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2020/08/31/ravens-letter-police-reform-mitch-mcconnell-george-floyd-jacob-blake-latest/

but nah, we'll just continue to focus on the smoke while the fire, literally, continues to burn. some of the folks on this thread seem to think heavy-handed riot police and national guard response with roaming Kyle Rittenhouses to cleanup the leftovers is the better strategy though.

  5. I personally look at America as currently being in the failboat, but my hope is that our younger generation that is engaged and involved will have the stomach for the fight that is in front of them.

nah son. I’d argue that the younger generation has MORE racists per capita.

white people have become much more polarized since 9/11 and Obama. for every one that went hard left, there’s an equal number (and I would argue more) that went hard right. the right has taken a page out of the ISIS playbook and realized indoctrination at a young age is the most effective way to gain power. Russia doesn’t really help either.

  6. are you equally disturbed and disgusted by the life the kenosha guard took?

do you think that the founders meant black and white lives were equal when they wrote out “all lives are created equal”? there’s your answer.

took me a minute to realize when these white folk say “all lives matter” they meant “all” like the Declaration of Independence “all”. not the colloquial or English fucking definition of it. tricky, tricky, sneaky, sneaky!

  7. Despite his beliefs he was still murdered in cold blood.  Not killed, murdered and murders no matter what your views should be condemned.  Just as the stabbings and every other murder should be condemned.
ETA:  It disturbs and disgusts me that anyone celebrates or condones the taking of another life.

you should read that at his eulogy, I imagine you’ll be well received amongst them.

  8. Poking my head in again to remind everyone that GME currently has OVER %100 short interest outstanding and is showing a decent 12% spike this morning. To put that into perspective, there are more shares borrowed to short than there are actual shares in existence. A lot of that short interest was accumulated when the stock was around $5 a share, so a bunch of people are underwater with their shorts. It is currently sitting at $6.8, right now, with earnings coming on 9/9 and a new round of consoles coming this holiday season, which will push numbers up further the following quarter. If pre-orders for the new consoles begin before the earnings call, those preliminary numbers would certainly be reported during the earnings call, which could also send the price higher. If a bunch of people get margin called over it, it could be a short squeeze of VW/Porsche proportions. There is absolutely zero, literally zero, share liquidity to cover a cascade of shorts being margin called.

I read somewhere the CEO of Chewy just got a seat on the board of GME too. Internet sales is his specialty.

  9. So two girls start fighting, and Stay-Puft jr starts punching one from behind?
But I was told he was an upstanding citizen, a choir boy, who washed graffiti off of walls, helped little old ladies across the street, always put his mom's shopping cart back in the shopping cart return, instead of leaving it loose in the parking lot.

shooting unarmed civilians and beating women - I can see why he was so beloved by the Kenosha PD. fuck this little twat.

  10. Setup a TD Ameritrade acct instead.  Robin Hood is a dumpster fire

WeBull is better in my opinion. Great interface and its charting capabilities are pretty nice. Active comments section (think reddit), zero commission trading, level 2 trading data, etc.

    Check it out, highly recommend.

  11. So the fact my business is now saving tens of thousands of dollars per year for what were previously bullshit TCPA compliance rules is wrong?  That, along with other reduced regs, has allowed us to hire 8-9 additional employees now since 2017.

    You run a call center?

  12. Anyone watching GRWG?  US Pot grower who just started turning a profit and is doubling NR. Doubled in last week...which I guess makes it stonky. I’ve yet to buy but thinking about it.

Never heard of it, but are you sure they grow weed? Looks like they just sell growing equipment. I like the MJ adjacent industries, Scott’s Miracle Grow came out a few quarters back and in no uncertain terms said all their their revenue growth is from cannabis.

  13. BLNK getting crushed for some (rather significant, if true) negative PR.

Yeah, not good info. I got the fuck out and doubled down on FCEL and PLUG. I still like the whole liquid renewable fuel, EV infrastructure space a lot. PEIX, AMTX, REGI have all had ridiculous run ups these past few weeks (GEVO up 200% today, not as bullish on that one but clearly that’s only me). I think FF is next though - fantastic support at $10/share.

  14. In the same vein as non-stonky stocks, anyone going balls deep on Apple and Tesla shares post 4:1 and 5:1 share splits? 8/21 for Tesla 8/24 for Apple

I read somewhere that if you would have bought 1 SHARE of Apple in 1987, it would be worth north of $22k today because of the 3 or 4 stock splits they’ve had in the past. This looks like Tesla’s first one so that could be something else.

  15. A few years years ago I was sitting at the bar of a local sports bar watching a game and eating dinner. was shooting the shit with some guy next to me and he was a VP of sales at Rackspace. Amazon and AWS had completely killed their cloud hosting business and Rackspace was just embarking on their strategy of helping customers better implement cloud strategy on AWS and other cloud providers. The guy told me that he couldn't keep good employees because as soon as AMZN was aware of someone at Rackspace that was good, they would cherrypick the guy with an offer that included 100 shares of AMZN stock (was trading around $1000 at the time). So basically a $100K signing bonus. 100 shares of stock was nothing for AMZN, but no way in hell Rackspace could compete with that. He was just gonna have to live with the idea that his best employees were gonna get poached.
As for the company's future, my biggest concern is they are another private equity fuck job. Loaded up with a shitload of debt and then spun back out into the market to struggle with that debt load. They are currently losing $100 million/yr, have low margins, tepid growth and have to service $4 billion in debt. Apollo Global Management I'm sure made out like bandits.

Great feedback man, thanks. I’ll mark it down as a private equity fuckjob.
