  1. I drank no Kool aid before the season.  I was in full “show me” mode.  First game against an inferior opponent we looked good.  We competed hard and played well against Alabama.  Then we nearly shit the bed against UTSA.  Followed that up by actually shitting the bed against Tech.  I have enough data now.  This team is exactly what it has been - mediocre.  I’ll watch the games if it’s convenient and if I have nothing better to do.  I’ve been a Horns fan for 60 years, so it’s painful to have gotten to this point.  I have tickets to more games, and I’m planning to go, but if something comes up, I may not.  I really don’t like being apathetic, but here we are.

  2. My wife was just looking for the keys to her car.  Asked me where they were.  Again - HER CAR.  I don't know, but I pointed her toward the spare set.  She accused me of having them in my pants.  Nope.  HER CAR.  She continues to look and says "I know I didn't leave them in the car" and walks out the door to go check.  She doesn't come back.  Car's gone.  Guess she found the keys.

Texas A&M reported 73,283 total students across the university’s campuses in College Station, Galveston, Qatar and the Health Science Center. In College Station specifically, there were 67,133 students with undergraduates accounting for 53,876 of that total.”

Aggy has a campus in Qatar?  Holy crap.

  4. Our talent is a tricky problem.  I think we have talent in that we have a bunch of guys that are big, strong, fast, and dominated at the high school level against inferior athletes.  They likely test well, and so they look like they have a lot of talent.  Here's the deal - we only have a few FOOTBALL PLAYERS.  If you've ever played or coached sports, you know this is true; there are certain players that, for whatever reason, cannot or will not execute when confronted with a challenge.  It looks to me like we have a bunch of those guys.  Our guys get challenged and they fold.  Until those guys are rooted out, the results will be the same.

  5. I have a hard time blaming this one on Sark and staff.  OL can't block anybody.  A few plays cost us dearly.  Moore catches a pass for a nice gain in plus territory and gives the ball away.  Worthy is running wide open at the 5 and Casey misses him.  Moore has a ball clang off his hands and it gets picked.  That's enough points to win right there.  At some point, the players have to play, and a lot of our guys are just not very good at this level or have Grinch-sized hearts that are three sizes too small.  These guys cannot deal with adversity, and that's something you can't teach, and something you can't learn.  You're either mentally tough or you're not.  Too many of our guys aren't.  That being said, the fake punt was colossally stupid.

  6. I hate to say it, but I've pretty much given up on this year.  Things in general look a whole lot like they did last year.  To be expected, I suppose.  I'll pay attention again next year during fall camp.
