  1. I can see that but at the same time fans always claim they want guys to take the games personally but then expect them to not act like it when its MOST personal. Plenty of guys over the yrs didnt shake hands. Some did. No biggie either way. CP has many bitchmade qualities. Classic little man complex IMO. I'm not too pressed about this one.
  2. Yep, some of the takes here are wild. Dude has a beautiful offensive game. Not sure how you could hate watching that but to each his own.
  3. I've never truly cared about whether the loser shakes hands with the winners. I guess its nice if they do but certainly not a big deal if they dont. They just lost out on their biggest goal in their basketball lives. I understand being down or maybe salty.
  4. Pretty sure he was talking to Thanasis telling him to come out there. After his speech he told people he was out. I'm betting he went back to celebrate with is brother. Probably had quite a moment considering where they came from. Even if his brother doesn't play a whole lot it has to be truly special to get to the top of the mountain with your brother right there.
  5. They really gonna just have CP3 stand in the corner all game cause Jrue is guarding him???
  6. Very.
  7. Of course rings are dependent on teams but no one is putting Karl Malone or KG in the GOAT list. No one without multiple titles (really 3+) is going to be in consideration. Is what it is. The closest exception would be Wilt with his two. He's only kinda in that discussion cause he did unbelievable shit that may never be matched. Giannis is great. I've said many times here he is one of my favorite guys to watch in the league but he is not setting unbreakable all time records or doing mythical things.
  8. That sounds like talking heads making up shit to talk about. Everyone wants to be the first person to say something so they run out to ridiculous conclusions. In theory, yes Giannis could be on that path but there is a whole helluva lot that would need to happen for him to even be in that discussion. Starting with them winning tonight. This series is not done yet. He would still need 2-3 more MVPs, 4-5 more titles after finishing this one and 10-12 more yrs of top level play. In other words, he's not even REMOTELY close yet so any discussion is silly.
  9. I can see that angle but if he was running the break I dont think he would have been pulling back to the three point line. He didnt really push hard at all. It looked like his first instinct, knowing they were up with the ball, was to hold and not force a 1 on 1 break. Then he saw Giannis streaking. CP was never going to jump high enough to stop an oop so looking him off wasn't exactly necessary. His pulling up like he was going to run offense did more to get CP to step up. Regardless. great decision and a play that we will see for many yrs in Finals promos.
  10. It never really made sense that they would go. Considering how they need playmaking and defense I can't see how Jrue wouldn't be playing big time immediately
  11. Definitely noticed it live. Just thankful that Giannis is tall enough and jumped high enough to grab the rim to slow and control himself and land on his feet. The oop was a little late though cause Jrue really didn't want to throw it but he saw CP3 was there with Giannis. If Giannis misses the dunk he has to make those FTs which is doubtful the way he was shooting last night so I get the beat of hesitation.
  12. Well, I meant scratching the part where the players money gets lowered. I agree with your premise that it punishes the player. So he goes to the new team and they have the full amount on their cap. Now it would force the team losing the superstar to take on 10M more than they are giving out which might cause lux tax issues so that part would need some additional figuring. I don't think there is anything that will 100% stop what is going on now. I doubt the players association would agree to forcing guys to stay 3 yrs.
  13. Maybe that it doesn't count for the team that signs the player but if he forces a trade the extra money does count against the cap for that team. Not sure it would stop teams from doing it but it might make it a little more difficult to make the money match.....maybe
  14. I doubt any college guy (especially a big) would contribute as much as Javale will honestly.
  15. He's an active big who can blk shots, rebound and catch lobs. He was prolly also geographically close to Vegas and his agent got to him fast. Not anyone's first choice but they are WAAAAYYY past first choices at this point.
  16. Last yr with LA. He played 15 mins/gm in 46 gms this yr with CLE and DEN. Not trying to clown but some of this shit is easy to look up.
  17. Mitchell Robinson has been out most of the yr due to injury. I doubt he nor the Knicks want his first minutes back at the Olympics. Especially with him wanting to get paid soon.
  18. The flip side is guys like Blake Griffin who the Clips did all they could to convince him to re-sign a yr max deal and then traded him less than a yr later.
  19. Seems crazy with the names on that list
  20. That would seem to be logical thing but logic hasn't really gone into their original choices so I'm not expecting here.
  21. This is exactly what is going on. I'm not mad at agents advising guys to do it either. Get as much guaranteed money on the books as you can and then force your way where you wanna go. Strange that no one saw that as the likely outcome of the supermax idea.
