  1. They really appeared to luck out with Edgecombe. They already have a young star in Maxey. Go with them and the other young pieces they have and move on from Embiid. He's not really useful at this point
  2. I could see one of them getting waived and stretched this coming offseason
  3. Still cant play back to backs even only playing 20 mins. He got his MVP but.........
  4. Pop is a fucking dude!
  5. His knees are shot for sure!! It will be interesting to see if only playing 20 mins/gm will allow him to get to 65 gms played this yr and can he be ramped up to actually make impact should they get to the playoffs.
  6. That's hilarious because I completely forgot about the replay center which shows exactly how useful that shit has been LOL
  7. They really need a 4th official manning the video feed. I've never understood why they have to stop and the lead guy has to go watch then discuss with the group. Have a person on the side checking the feed to give them a preliminary thought when they come over. Let the team watch quickly to confirm what the video official sees and then move on. I really dont have an issue with the play stoppages like some do but I think they could expedite them by having someone reviewing the video beforehand. And yes absolutely start penalizing for flops in game.
  8. This is already the rule. They just very rarely call it that way. Only certain guys get the offensive foul called and even then only when it blatantly.
  9. More importantly, Brunson wasnt a top superstar in DAL. No one saw what he has become in NY and he was never going to have the opportunity to be that in DAL with Luka. Further, he was going to NY no mater what. That's a totally different conspiracy LOL
  10. I love scoring as much as anyone but I agree. They've made it basically impossible to stop guys. On top of the offensive player getting every benefit of the doubt when it comes to even slight content, they let guys carry and travel constantly. Even worse you cannot contest a jumper because if your feet get anywhere near the shoot they collapse like they got shot and go to the line. The lowest scoring team in the league is the Celtics. They are avging 108 ppg through the first 3 games. There are 13 teams avging over 120 and with 6 of them going over 125. Just 10 yrs ago the Warriors led the league at 110 ppg and they were 3.5 ppg better than all other teams. There were 15 teams that didnt score 100 ppg. I dont want to go back to the aughts where there were 70 pts games but the offenses have EVERY advantage now and its too much. There have been multiple 40 pts games every day except Saturday since the start of the season. After a while the numbers become meaningless when there is no defense to overcome.
  11. They are going with the "he's not in game shape" excuse this time.
  12. https://apnews.com/article/raman-storm-wnba-9d0863c6ab51227146f9d3a6cd4330f6 New York assistant Sonia Raman has agreed to a deal to become the head coach of the Seattle Storm, a person familiar with the hire told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity on Friday because no official announcement has been made. Raman was an assistant with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies for four years before coming to the New York Liberty this past season. She’ll make history as the first person of Indian descent to be a head coach in the WNBA. Seattle fired coach Noelle Quinn last month after the Storm were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the playoffs. ESPN was the first to report the hire. With this hire, New York is the only team still without a head coach. The Liberty didn’t renew Sandy Brondello’s contract after Ne w York lost in the opening round to Phoenix. Raman was up for the New York job as well.
  13. Didnt realize this was using scoring categories. I know this league has been going for a while. Has there ever been discussion of making a metric that compiles all categories?
  14. Precisely. He looked incredible. Like "most unstoppable player I've ever seen" incredible but still it takes a full team to win a title. They have a great base with him and Castle but they still have to build a championship team. Additionally, as with any "giant" there is that cloud of injury hanging overhead. I'm hoping we can get 8 top flight seasons where he plays at least 70 gms. If we get that they should be a top 4 seed annually.
  15. He IS! That's exactly the point. Wemby made him look completely inept.
  16. So dope when a player really digs in and addresses a weakness in his game. If he is really going to be this aggressive around the basket he is fucking unstoppable. He looked like he was playing against kids on a 7ft rim last night. Its like he finally figured out he is 7'6" and decided no one was going to stop him from dunking EVERYTHING!! On top of all he can do adding that attitude to his game can make him one of the best players we've ever seen. He was doing it against one of the best defenders in AD and theree was NOT ONE FUCKING THING AD COULD DO ABOUT IT! As long as he stays healthy its going to be over for anyone else.
  17. Who knew Sengun was the hero we needed. He was punishing Caruso.
  18. She was the Hornets sideline reporter for the last few yrs. Glad to see she's been able to go national
  19. This makes it an automatic win!
  20. I listened 5 times and couldnt understand anything he said LOL.
  21. Fans are gonna fan but booing KD while celebrating a title is weird to me.
  22. Interesting angle. Not one of their former players is a champion. I dont generally care much about the "ringzzzz" thing but Its interesting. Melo, TMac, VC, Reggie and JCrossover.
