We have a wedding to attend in March there. Actual wedding is in Maidens about 30 miles NE of town. It's been 20+ years since I've been in Richmond and we stayed in Ashland on the north side then.

It looks like we're going up a few days before. We normally do VRBO or Air BNBs since there will be at least three of us and maybe more depending who we bring. I doubt we'll do a ton of stuff around Richmond. Worth it stay in the Tuckahoe and Henrico areas or farther out closer to Maidens?

Spent a night in Richmond in August for a concert. Plenty of good breweries if you’re into that. Didn’t do much else besides the show but it was a nice town. Felt smaller than I expected.

The area around the Unversity of Richmond is very nice. The area around VCU deteriorates rapidly and is not nice.
