  1. We relied on, and were burned by, multiple players who are no longer playing here this year. Their replacements all represent higher ceilings and, if you believe the reports, current improvements too. Terrence Brooks looked amazing for most of the back end of the season. Now he's even better. Manny Muhammad could supplant Watts by season's end. Anthony Cook had some positive moments, but he wasn't great back there, Kitan Crawford was worse. Secondary is significantly improved. Linebacker play should be more than fine, even with DMo's departure. Edge should be an improvement with Ovie gone and Sorrell taking another step forward. Interior DL will hopefully remain as stout. WR corps is significantly improved. We were relying on two less than healthy guys for most of the year. Worthy was getting double and triple teamed at times. They can't do that anymore now that we brought Mitchell in and Neyor is back from injury. Sanders is back and better. The OL should be significantly improved and will continue to improve as Banks and Campbell get more snaps. Hopefully Neto can show enough in the first few games to take over for Conner earlier in the season. Improved OL play and greater WR threats should make things easier for the RBs as well. Brooks is more than capable of popping a big gain with his contact balance. CJ Baxter can hopefully pass protect well enough to spell him as much as he needs. TE is fine with JT Sanders and Helm would be a reliable chain mover if needed. Quinn is focused and more engaged for his season long job interview. He looks fantastic and consistent. I'm curious to see how his on-field demeanor has improved. Big time redemption opportunity for him and Sark. Gotta stay healthy though. Other than RB, we've pretty much improved across the board. We have staff continuity, and have filled in key gaps other than Edge. No more excuses, this is the year to remind everyone who we fucking are.

  2. he was lookin' for some votes to steal He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind And he was willin' to make a deal When he came across Coffee County, to breach a voting machine he’d got And Trump jumped on Brad, the Secretary of State, and said, "boy, let me tell you what" "I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a Republican too. And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. Now you pretend to care about ethics, Brad. But give the POTUS his due. I'll bet 11,870 votes, not lookin’ at my notes, 'Cause there’s nothing Georgia can do" He said, "Trump, my name's Bradley, and it might be a GOP sin. But I'll take your bet, you're gonna regret 'Cause Fani’s the best there's ever been" <chorus > Assault poll workers like Jesus done - Lindsey on the faintin’ couch, ladybugs and cum - Junior doing eight balls with his crazy ho - Rudy with no money and no where to go - <fiddle music>

  7. That's where you're mistaken. One party isn't going to solve the problems but one party is hell bent on causing them. One party's entire platform is stoking fear with outright lies and propaganda blaming "others" for the societal ills they are mostly responsible for causing through their legislation. If you look at the voting records and legislation passed since 1980 there's a clear pattern of one party pushing the wage inequality. Pushing the striping of social services and societal safety nets. Pushing the militarization of law enforcement. Pushing the free reign to manufacture guns and distribute them without regulation. Using social media and tv/radio media to stoke fires of hatred and division in America. If you can't take a close look back and analyze the last 40+ years and see that it's because you choose not to do so. It's right there clear as day in the legislation, voting record, and archives of media. It's proven. Like I said at your age it probably won't matter much for you but it just fucking sucks for the rest of us who will suffer the full consequences of it. And this thread seems to mostly be about making fun of the situation that is insane and bat shit crazy. Of the insanity of a former president being arrested for espionage act crimes and attempting to overthrow the government to take power for himself. The memes and attempts at humor over the situation are masking the underlying anxiety and uncertainty of the horrors we may be heading towards. Those who have a basic understanding of the history of global civilizations even of just the 20th/21st century and looking at what's happening here can see where this is headed and who's mostly responsible for pushing us down the path.

  20. Definitely don’t want to cloakroom this thread, but one of the biggest misconceptions is that Democrats are responsible for the majority of the explosion in the federal debt. Go back and look at federal debt expansion by administration from Reagan’s first term until now. You may be surprised at what you see. If that is really your number one priority, you have been backing the wrong horse

  24. I was trained that minefields are laid to optimize the manpower needs of a defensive line. Mines should be used to funnel enemy forces to locations that give you a geographic or firepower advantage. You have to provide cover fire all along the line to discourage and prevent sappers from removing the mines and making lanes through the minefield, like @RDCanecutter said, but it doesn't really take a lot of firepower to cover a minefield. Then you can concentrate more of your forces in the rear to respond to serious problems within the minefields or, if the minefields are set up correctly, bring concentrated fire on the areas to which the mines channel enemy forces. Done correctly you can force the enemy to come on in column so that they can only attack on a narrow front. This will let you put more firepower on them than they can bring on you, and allow you to defeat them in detail. Kind of like "crossing the T" in naval warfare. Infantry on the defense love mines. Infantry on the attack despise them. ETA - And I just realized that I didn't answer your question. You defeat a line like that by finding the weakest points in the minefields, concentrating suppressive fires there, usually a combination of infantry and artillery, and letting your sappers clear lanes through the mines through which you attack. You are still attacking through funnels (the cleared lanes) but you are picking the location of the attack. It's bloody, slow, and dangerous work, but that's the business. Read about the Battle of El Alamein to get a good idea of mine warfare.
