I think likely Domer wins comfortably but kind of pulling for A&M. A ND loss should knock them out of the playoff picture no matter what happens the rest of the season with their shit schedule, and for Aggy, the fall is always funnier once the rollercoaster gets high. And they will be convinced they might just win it all if they could pull it out.
I dunno, ag losses are chef's kiss. Texags after is like 'this one hurt' and 'if we only had these 8 plays go differently ' It's in the veins goodness.

It might be too much to ask but Temple might have a legit coach with Keeler. Two blowouts so far and they get OU at home. Would be a shame if OU were to struggle.

Sumrall feels right. Golesh is a little too on the nose. Odom could work but the fans wouldn't be super enthused.
And forgot to add Jedd.

Staples’ take is so weird. He’s performing the autopsy, but he’s telling the detectives it’s not that bad. He honestly thinks UF is a playcalling OC away. Napier agreed to relinquishing playcalling duties in 2024 as a condition to return in 2025, but they finished on a hot streak + power vacuum, and he reneged.
It sounds like the UF BOR is completely fucked with lots of infighting. Hence, failing to hire a president after 15 months. I guess Strickland’s extension gives him enough juice to fire Sunbelt Billy, but probably doesn’t have enough juice to raise money for a buyout + hiring a new staff.
We should all be thankful for the cohesion between the Texas BOR, President, and AD.
Staples can't be objective about Florida. I get it but he's too close.

Arch was definitely making the same face when he threw last year. I remember noticing it in a random highlight package this offseason.
I thought it was the look of someone that knew it was a bad pass immediately.
But hurt or injured? I didn't see it or ever think it yesterday.

Hair Metal

Stevie Blaze, their lead guitarist and driver of the band, was excellent and sometimes broke out the nylon string classical acoustic for some intros.
My Number is a great song. Misery. Body Double. Lots of good ones.
Ron would always introduce Body Double by asking the crowd “How do you double your pleasure and double your fun? Fuck twins!!!!” since that is what the song was about.
I used to be able to sing this and do the scream in the intro. Pretty sure that isn’t happening today!
That's super cool. And that's a lot of Lilian Axe. I have the Poetic Justice vinyl. And body double is a favorite. Here is a good interview with Blaze.

I love my hair metal. There are bands that I never heard of years later that I dig.

Deboer confuses me. Skinny face with a big fat beer gut. Elko is symmetrical at least.

Not all that familiar with PK, but I've seen his product and it's legit. Makes sense to me that after this year, someone is going to throw even bigger money at him to become a head coach. Will we be able to continue what he's started here? At this level???
Will we still get the same quality of defensive recruits or will they be following him to wherever? You'd like to think we can keep it going at this high level but there are no guarantees - unless...
PK stays on as HC. He hires a DC and then guess what, we finally get an OC..
A better option would be Sark getting an OC and then if PK leaves, get a DC, but I'm not convinced Sark will ever get an OC, and I think that's a worse option than PK as HC with a high profile up and coming OC. Those may well be our two options at the end of the season.
I get the feeling Sark is not spending enough time with his QB. That cross field throw on fourth and three took the cake. The kid shoulda known better. The fucking QB keepers up the middle instead of an RPO? How fucking lazy was that call? How lazy was it that we haven't practiced that situation thirty times during the off season? Give me Arch and a sprint to the far sideline flag. How long are we going to watch these Sark busts against good teams?
Or am I wrong about all this and PK's not going anywhere?
Love PK but he's kind of an introvert and doesn't hold the room like a head coach should. If you ever listened to Jeff Choate speak when he was here you see a head coach. Contrast with PK, you see that he's comfortable in the spotlight but he doesn't want it.
And what others have echoed, we're all pretty sure he wants to be a DC for life and now he probably enjoys less recruiting with the unlimited coaches and they can put someone else on the road.

Long excerpt about Arch's recruitment from an upcoming book about QBs: https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/46022536/ruthless-recruitment-arch-manning
This part caught my eye. Fuck Nick Saban.
NOBODY KNEW WHERE Arch Manning wanted to go to school. Some in the family preferred Georgia, where head coach Kirby Smart would coach him hard. Others, Alabama. The problem for Alabama was that Nick Saban -- whom the Crimson Tide assistants affectionally called "Daddy" -- was getting up there in years, and nobody knew how long he'd be there. Texas kept lingering. Competition was so fierce that everything was fair game. It was public record that Steve Sarkisian had battled alcoholism, a disease that nearly cost him his career. Sark had rebuilt his life and work in recovery. But during one Zoom call with Arch, Golding was discussing Alabama's schematics and culture, and then he went there.
"I love Sark," Golding said. "He's my best friend." He paused. "I hope he can stay sober."
After the Zoom ended, Stewart called Golding. "Pete, that's f---ed up!"
Golding knew. He had no choice.
"Daddy's on me."
Here is the Golding bullshit.

Annoying thing he does is the "yeah I had heard about this last week but didn't want to say anything'. Happened tonight with the Portnoy news.

I have a love/hate thing with him. Currently, he's whoring himself to every pod around. Not sure if it is marketing or he's paid for it. He's now too close. Too many contacts in media and blindly believes everything they say. Probably has to fence sit on every team or just flat out say he likes them in order to not lose access. And boy does he love that access. On the flip side, I think he has good 30,000 foot takes on the sport and genuinely cares about it. It's the team level that he fails. Pate goes to a practice. Comes back and that team is now a contender because he knows because he was there.
I saw a youtube short of him on a private plane going to Penn St. The clip was all about him. Maybe that's the point but he's getting pretty high on his own supply.
None of my friends listen to him so I don't have anyone to complain to so here I am.

Nmsu beat asu 35 to 7 in 1999. I don't recall the spread but it had to be more than 15.
