So do we need an Iran vs. US war thread?
We have them when horns play New Mexico State-

You can't strike another country unless that country is about to attack you first. Iran was not going to attack Israel, so as much as there are valid criticisms one could have about Iran, Israel's attack on Iran violated international law.
Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel in April and October of 2024. Or is there like a 3 month return fire limitation and then its like it didn't happen?

Has there been any actual proof given that Iran has or is close to creating a nuke? Other than a Bibi, Trust me bro?
Centcom commander claims that they could have up to 10 nukes within 3 weeks given current stockpiles and enrichment capabilities.

Triggering @immamac was not on my bingo card when creating this thread.
Working with younger men at my new place of employment (something I am not used to as I've always worked in fields with older work forces), has given me perspective / is why I'm so intrigued by this topic.
I work with one guy who knocked up his gf, they were married, and now is fucking hustling at 24. He hates how poor he is. He's grown up quick. It's not all bad for him though. His wife is a smoke show even after popping out a kid. Benefit of being young I guess.
Then I've some other young guys who have gainful employment, seem affable, and yet are not out there trying.
Look, I was no catch. I had shit game. I was employed, could hold a conversation, and am generally fun enough to be around for at least a couple outings.
I tried. All. the. time. Did I shoot a high percentage? God no.
I was eventually the lucky recipient of the downward slope of looks and expectations that women would accept. My mid to late 20's were fun. The caliber of girls that were out of my league in high school and college had to make some tough choices, and I was one of those least shitty ones.
Maybe the swipey apps took all the fire out of the belly, but when I'm the inappropriate one in the office, we have a problem.
I'm domesticated with kids. I should be horrified about your weekends and the places you woke up. But if all my stories can one-up yours? Nah.
Back in my day, we only had essentially one model that was celebrated: completely hairless / skinny blonde Paris Hilton style.
Now there's a rainbow of colors of hair and skin, hair down there, bare, skinny, thicc, skinny thicc, and all flavors in between. We had these I guess. I was too stupid to realize it / girls were to shamed to flaunt it. It was sad when you think about it.
At no point in human history has man had the ability to go out and lay waste to as many and all varieties of ass.
And yet, it would seem as if we are living in a 1930's Ukraine. All the fertile soil and abundance of the harvest, yet the people working the fields are starving to death.
I think this is actually some of the problem. The ease of getting laid if you're not a troglodyte on the apps is exceptionally easy....which in turn means when a guy gets rejected they don't know how to handle it. The other thing I read regarding the apps was that something like the top 20% of male profiles get 90% of the positive swipes. And for girls its is more evenly distributed. Meaning, the middle set of girls are getting attention from the top 20% of dudes and that's their expectation for a more meaningful relationship. But when that top cohort of males looks to settle down they are not settling with a girl they'd fuck on a whim. So you end up with the middle groups of men and women as dissatisfied, incel, not in a relationship, childless at 40, etc. Because expectations get ruined.

Our pediatrician told us that it doesn't impact over long term.

bump. I've got an ADHD kid and he takes contempla. It has worked wonders for school but I'm terrified of what we are doing to him over the longer term.

That was my point about the 5% not being where I think the train would sit. 5% will mean nothing if we're at 1980s rates again... And it seems like 1980 (or 1880) is the goal for maga.
5% in your nominal annual payment. Just regular inflation of 2% (ha) would mean your purchasing power would be half as much in 20 years -

Oh you sweet summer child...
So what are you telling your clients. Seeing some of your other posts elsewhere makes me think you're not the most unbiased investor

Kyle Porter (some golf nerd) pointed out that 10 of the last 12 Masters winners were at 1.7 SF tee to green or better in the three months leading into the masters (Fat Pat Reed and Hideki were the two that weren't). Here's the list:
Morikawa: 2.6
rory: 2.2
Scheffler: 2.13
Niemann: 1.88
Lowry: 1.85
Canter: 1.78
Fleetwood: 1.75

For these kinds of market reactions there are only a few time frames that have ever been this volatile. 1929 on a few dates, 1933 on a few, 1940, 1987, 2008 on a few, and 2020. So this, and what looks like tomorrow has in store for us, are effectively unprecedented. Unprecedented because those other dates had severe issues going on with global economy. This is happening due to one person.
The messaging of ‘reciprocal’ prior to throwing out what is now viewed as haphazard, at best, is what has caused the current calamity.
I’d also caution against expecting a snap back rally ala April 2020. Besides the lack of a liquify hose, given this was caused by poor tariff messaging /clear goals out of djt , uncertainty is now higher and will/should force a downward rerate on multiples -

I don't know who this twitter person is so don't attack. But they have a nice chart from Goldman that shows import amounts from 2024, effective tariffs in 2024, and changes based on yesterday's announcement

This company has always been 'overpriced' but once investors realized half the country would never support anything Elon touches again, then gravity would take hold. No different on Moderna and the right wingers that refuse mRNA based therapies.

True, but we've never seen as big a cultural acceptance and push for "non-alcoholic" then we have now. Beers, bars and even hard liqours. VC money pouring into the space (starting with Liquid Death you could argue) because there is a growing TAM and demonstrated traction of Gen Z not engaging in the alcohol culture that was the baseline before them.
Things can always change and they can easily revert to being just as big a consumer bloc as their predecessor generations (in the same way that as generations age they move from liberals to more conservatives)-- we will see.
They did a E round in the spring of 2023 at a $1B pre. Raised $75mm. Then did another another round a year later at a $1.4B pre. On 263mm in rev...for water.

I am pretty busy during the day and try not to watch tv at night, so I used Bada Bing and Daily Texan as my news briefs during the day. Scroll through, and if something was hot, it was probably pretty important. I was a regular reader of the AA thread and the dog thread.
I tried reading the thread on the Wichita-D.C. crash, and I think I am out. Pretty disappointed and disgustedI just read that thread. Some of the most frequent posters on this site are mentally ill.
