Bro, you have completely lost sight of reality.

Our DC suck, our OC is bad, our special teams are comical they are so inept.

Being healthy doesn't fix all those things.

You really need to consider this team is breaking records defensively that coach fucking Potato couldn't accomplish.

Greg Davis offense was better. Greg fucking Davis.

We just gave up nearly 600 yards to Kansas.

    Read that very fucking slow.

Six HUNDRED yards to the Kansas Jay Hawks.

We needed a last minute field goal to win.

If you are not deeply troubled by this point with Herman and his entire staff, you don't know shit about football, are living in a delusion or are flat out trolling.

You know it’s a shit thread when this idiot shows up.

5-2 never felt so bad. Pay Urban Meyer whatever he wants.

Why not Briles?  He won at Baylor.  Thank god you’re not our AD.

also, fuck every single one of you sitting here advocating for urban fucking meyer.  guy is a sack of fuck shit human being and this board has (rightfully) spent the past year + fucking shitting all over him.  now you're sucking his dick?  fuck that.

Truly fucking embarrassing.  We barely beat Kansas. Let’s hire the biggest scum bag in coaching not named Briles.

I cannot believe anyone is defending him after this shit show. He’s clearly not the guy, he’s Charlie Strong 2.0 but far more arrogant.

I don’t think anyone thinks this outcome is OK but to say he’s not the right guy is stupid.

I think Herman was just controlling his emotions.

Maybe it's because I was in the military, but it doesn't impress me to watch a grown man use aggressive body language and his best outside voice in a professional setting. He's either putting on a show, which is bad unless it's for a good reason, or he can't control himself, which is bad always.
A man says what he's going to do and does it, or doesn't, and that's how you measure him.

That was a piss poor game and Herman obviously needs to make changes, and he knows that. We'll see if he makes the right changes or not.

Yeah, this get mad and show us how much you care  is stupid.  That is a very short lived way of handling disappointment.  I’m pretty sure he cares a great deal but how this loss affects how he handles this staff going forward is another thing all together.  I would be much more worry if he was freaking out and acting all angry.

Every team has injury problems.  Coaches job to recruit and have guys ready.  It’s year 3 and Herman keeps making the we’re young and injured excuses.  We’re not young on offense at all and just got embarrassed by a terrible ou defense that Kansas our 20+ points on.

At this point, need to treat every game like it’s do or die if we want to go to the conference championship game.  I’m actually worried we will come out flat and look terrible against Kansas after this let down.

    Calm down, Francis.

Been reading some of the threads about if they stayed in the Big 12. Why do they assume they would be able to beat Baylor right now???

That’s the beauty of the “100 year decision”.  They get to be victorious over the “whorns” without having to actually play and win the game.  Their victory was just getting into Alabama’s conference and claiming secsec bottom dweller.

Don't get me wrong because Sam is amazing but let's wait until the end of next year to judge him against the previous great Texas QB's.

No no no.  This is Surly.  Grand proclamations will be made today, for or against, inspite of lack of complete evidence that will no doubt be proven incorrect later.

Who was that gooner that tried to rip Hager’s dick off in last years game?  You guys seem to know a lot about crotch grabbing.

Not sure you can say Herman was "conservative" yesterday when he was throwing passes to Sam Cosmi to blow the game open. It's been an issue with Herman but they went for the kill in the 4th quarter against WV.

Well, as soon as WV started using their timeouts instead of letting the game end TH had no choice but to score again.  Ok WV, you want to call your timeouts?  Here’s a, trick play/touchdown for ya.  Next time take the loss, pussy.

Classic trap game - our shitty pass defense offers little to no resistance and could keep WV in the game.

Each new post is worse then your last.  How do you do it?   I guess all the young CBs should just quit.  There’s no way they can improve.  Pretty sure pass defense won’t be our problem this game.  Have you seen Kendall throw a football?   You be you buddy.

  12. Like I tell my son all the time.  Just worry about yourself.  Those other things usually take care of themselves.  There will be some upsets which will knock some of those teams out.  I’m more worried about us finishing the rest of the season without a loss.

Herman did everything wrong tonite. If we weren't 30 points better of a team than OSU then we would have been coached into a loss. He needs to stop this bullshit of trying to run out the clock with 7 minutes left. What we need is to move the ball and get first downs and points. He could end the game with 6 minutes left, but chooses to let the other team come back. Same thing over and over.

He obviously did something right because Texas got the W.  If you think we won last night inspite of Herman you’re not very smart.  Was it his best game?  No, but most of the mistakes made last night were by players making mistakes.  The team as a whole, except for the defense, had their C game and still won the game.

For whatever reason, likely the weakness of the OSU o-line, the D-line got some good push and penetration.  When that happens, it relieves the secondary considerably.

    Take the win.  Pussy.

I think some of the histrionics with respect to Orlando are a bit overblown. In college football, more often than not really good quarterbacks running a hurry up spread are going to put up points. That is particularly true when defenses have inexperienced corners like we do.

Is Dave Aranda a bad coordinator because his defense couldn't stop our offense a single fucking time in the second half? Was Brent Venables a bad coordinator in 2008 when Colt hung 45 on them? It's not that Orlando is infallible or that individual plays can't be criticized, but I don't think he's suddenly become a net negative because his defenses have given up points to some great offenses and quarterbacks.  3rd and 17 in particular was obviously massively disappointing, but Burrow was a half second from being sacked and made a really incredible play.

Well, this is way too logical.  Some people just jump at any opportunity to say the sky is falling.  I still remember when the offense was young and some wrote off Sam.  Now the defense is very young and Orlando sucks.  I’m not saying he’s is great and will turn things around but it’s premature to say he sucks.  Weren’t a bunch of posters wanting to give him a big raise because we didn’t want to lose him not too long ago?  Schizophrenic surly is the best.
