Man so weird to be talking tie breakers this early. OU is going to lose a game or two. Not to us obviously, but they'll find a way to fuck up somewhere else. Of course, if by some miracle OSU has its shit together and runs the table, the ISU loss will find a way to fuck us, because anytime those a-holes beat us, it fucks us over.

If Gabriel goes down OU will be a very different team and can lose some games.  I know any team that loses their starting QB can be much worse off but his size and the frequency that he takes hits because of how often he runs the ball really increases the chances that he won’t make it through the season healthy.

T'Vondre Sweat had a decent day. Look at how he manhandles those linemen.

That deflected pass that still goes right to the OU receiver but Texas has a deflected pass and it gets intercepted.   I know footballs bounce in funny ways but Texas has some of the shittiest luck when it comes to stuff like that.  The KU fumble right to the running back for a TD.  And I cant even count how many times opposing QBs just junk the ball up under pressure and it perfectly makes it to their receiver.  Part of that is our DBs not making what should be an easy play but also it uncanny the luck factor for opposing teams over the last 5 years.  That being said it seems to be at least evening out now.   Maybe my memory is shit but for the life me I can’t remember one time in the last 5 years where a Texas QB junked it up under pressure and the ball magically made it perfectly to the receiver.  These things usually even out over time so there’s that I guess.

Don’t post shit like this when you didn’t actually watch the game.  You clearly did not or you wouldn’t possibly think that this is valid “analysis”.  You just read the box score, apparently.

ETA:  I don’t put this loss on the refs, by the way, but to say Quinn sucked, citing the two picks as evidence, is bullshit.

Chill out Mr Ewers.  I am a big Quinn fan but anytime your QB turns the ball over 3 fucking times in this game that teams chances are nil.  The second interception wasn’t his fault but the other two turnovers were 100% on him.  It was a total team loss but Quinn definitely did his part.

  4. While the B12 is upset OU is leaving they get a pass because it was mean ole Texas that led them astray.  Now that Texas has one conference loss the B12 refs will work overtime to make sure Texas is in as many close games as possible which given the rest of the schedule this team shouldn’t be in any close games.  That being said when your star QB throws 2 picks and has a fumble I’m shocked the game was even that close.  Ewers sucked about as bad as the refs.  Bad combination.

Never go full aggy.  We've known since Tceh 2008 that offensive holding calls against teams playing against Texas were entirely optional.

We're Texas.  We gots to beat the other team way more to get a win.  And there is no reason that we shouldn't have.  Stupid loss today.

Who was the Texas governor that said if it’s inevitable just lay back and enjoy it?

We have multiple openly trans posters on here, probably many more as lurkers.

They deserve to be able to read the football board without repeated jokes where transexuals are the punchline. At a bare minimum, it is WAY past time to retire use of the word "tranny" as a pejorative and it is time to retire the "Tranny OU cheerleader" video reposted on page 1.

We're supposed to be better than OU.

    Let's act like it.

Let the tears flow.  Flying in to watch ou sucks.  Sooner tears and corn dogs.  Breakfast of champions.

I predict it'll be close for a half, the trailer trash gets excited, and then Texas opens up a 21 point lead in the 3rd and keeps scoring.

I don't understand the point of this thread. The SEC has stunk it up pretty bad so far, maybe even worse than the Big 12.

Well the two best teams in the B12 are leaving so yes this conference sucks beyond how poorly it has been run for years and years.  Also what makes the B12 suck is bone deep and can’t be fixed.  There’s a damn good chance the SEC will still have a participant win the NC even in a down year.  One is much more fixable than the other.

Yeah. This staff can’t build a roster or develop players because the last two didn’t. The actual coaches involved don’t matter, just “it’s Texas.”

Then, Texas will lose a game it likely should’ve won, like 99% of teams do year in and year out, and it’s “see, I told you.”

It’s the “well there’s Texas not living up to its potential again”.  But if Texas has a 10+ win season it’s “how could they not be successful with all of the advantages they have?”   So just embrace the hate and fuck the rest.

I posted this in the Baylor thread but Baylor's OL is one of the most penalized in the country. They get called for a ton of pre-snap penalties and holds.

This will be a great week to see if the Big 12 fuckery is truly on. One of the most undisciplined OL's getting no penalties will be a sight to see.

Not this week.  Not this week.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I thought the refs last night were more incompetent than biased. The three yard spot may have been the worst placement I've ever seen, but was way down the list of plays that could affect the outcome. The DPI was bad, but they called Wyoming for OPI in the end zone and took points off the board. Don't get me wrong, they were shitty. I just didn't get the sense they were shitty in a way that gave either team an advantage.

No one is that incompetent so they are hiding the the bias as incompetence.  And they are just getting warmed up.  They will go full rapey starting with conference play.  The Baylor game will be off the charts bad.
