  1. Well, disappointing scan results. The y90 worked great on the left side of my liver, but new growth detected on the right side. Cea is up 7x over 7 weeks off treatment. Going back on chemo next week and surgery to remove the colon mass has been canceled.

I’m an elder millennial (‘85) and I wanted to get pussy because, well, it’s fucking awesome.

There was nothing societal about it. My brain was just wired with a high sex drive. It sounds like yours is less so. There’s nothing wrong with that either, so long as you’re comfortable with yourself and others.

None of this makes you a “man”. But guys who actively despise women because they can’t convince any of them to have consensual sex are definitely not real men.

I've read your posts on several different topics regarding millenials and we had very different experiences growing up and in high school/college. Not a negative, just something I've noticed and kind of interesting considering we are from generally the same region. The people I've known from small town Kansas are similar to your experiences though. I 100% agree with the last part.

You’re supposed to have sex with the attractive ones.

You must have missed all the incredulous posts about their friends turning down women they weren't attracted to.

  4. For instance, many younger people find sex scenes in mainstream movies to be kinda weird and awkward. I tend to agree, most add nothing at all to a film. I bet many on here have watched a movie specifically for a sex scene. Generational differences!

I said I was old too!

  5. I'm not talking strictly about incels, sexual activity in general is down with younger generations. I'm relating to generational attitudes about sex. I think it's just not as important to younger people. I understand that the 50yr olds here won't agree.

    Found one. ☝️

I also don't understand how guys have sex with women they aren't attracted to just to get some pussy. I tried it once, knew it wasn't for me a few minutes in, faked a nut and peaced out. I'd rather just jerk off.

  7. Without judgment, a lot of you sound like old guys trying to prove how manly you are (were) because back in your day getting pussy was the most important measure. I'm an old millenial but I can somewhat identify with some gen-z characteristics, one of those is giving less of a shit about proving your manhood. I never really understood the crawl over glass obsession with sex. Yeah, it's a fun time but it seems older generations seem to put a lot more emphasis on it.

  8. One of my chemo drugs gave me horrible face acne, like hundreds of pimples all over my face, head, chest and upper back. They lowered the dose and it would just flare up in the t-zone for a few days every cycle. Shit was even INSIDE my nostrils (I read a woman saying she had them inside her eyelids, so I consider myself getting off lucky). That and chemo gives you all kinds of skin issues in general. I imagine it's something similar.

no, LOST actually explained the polar bear and didn't make people ask "wtf with the polar bear?" after the finale

Yeah, this is one of those complaints that I see often and roll my eyes because it was pretty well explained by s3.

When it comes to cheap food products, I suspect the customer will tolerate "dynamic pricing" downward (e.g., happy hour) much, much more than they will tolerate it upward (order at lunchtime, pay an extra $3!)

That reminds me, though....the campus egg roll carts had "dynamic pricing" before it was cool.  If I had a class that ended around 4:00, I'd walk by one of the carts on the way home and ask "what do you have left, and how much for all of it?"  I often got something like 2 orders of indian bread, 4 eggrolls, and whatever hell else they had for $5 or so.  I could even haggle. "That doesn't sound that great.  I'll give you $3 for it all."

Yes, although I suspect that the standard menu price will still raise some, but the discount will be less than current price.

  12. Dynamic pricing, aka happy hour, has been a staple in restaurants for as long as I have been alive. What's the resistance with the application to fast food? I suspect in 10 years this will be the standard model.

That statement, Rust's father, the Tuttle relationship, and the symbology were all connections to S1 that went unaddressed. Felt insulting to the viewership to bring those items up and not follow through.

Maybe I missed it while watching female janitor after female janitor walk into the room like it was a clown car during the ending exposition, but how did the janitors know Anna K was murdered by the researchers?

Because the only star shaped screwdriver in the state was found in the hidden lab.

  14. Radiology suggests injecting a pellet into my liver to hopefully kill the two large (golf ball+ size) lesions on the left lobe. There are some 1 cm lesions on the other lobe though so it's unclear how those will be handled. Would have to be paired with colon tumor resection (11cm!). Meeting with the surgeon on Monday and liver specialist Wednesday, so we'll see what their thoughts are.

Spent the days before my latest scan filled with dread, convinced my luck had run out and I'd be full of goblins. But then I decided, "Fuck cancer, I'm gonna have a good day no matter what cancer wants to do."

Saw the doc this morning, she handed me the report, and summed it up: "This was a GOOD scan." Nothing grew, some lesions even went down a little.

I told her I posted on a football board where there was a cancer section and I'd share this good news. She wants me to tell all y'all fuckers to buck up, eat healthy, take your medicine, and be of good cheer.

Now to avoid falling down the stairs.

This is the baseline for realistic good news. Grats on the good scan buddy.

I'm meeting with radiology, surgery, and liver specialists over the next week to start planning the next course of action. Still have 5 months or so until the current treatment will lose efficacy.
