I thought the NFL OT rules say that if the team first possessing the ball in OT scores a TD, it's game over, man.  Game over.

The rule for playoff games was changed a couple of years ago, ironically after the Chiefs beat the Bills in OT because they got the first possession and scored a TD to win.

  2. The ESMA Museum is a must. It has a full and candid exploration of the political turmoil of the 70s and the thousands of "disappeared", many of whom were tortured before their execution. Some of the bodies were tossed from planes into the river and some of those washed up on the Uruguayan shore.

Her criticisms are not of his conservatism. They're founded on her belief that he's a phony, a buffoon, and will hurt the far-right cause over the long term. In that, I think she's likely correct.

Trump will either cause lasting damage to the country or the Republican party. Maybe both.

I hate the word "analytics". It just isn't the proper word for this. In the context of sports, it's basic math. It's addition, subtraction, and division. It's just information that fills you in on tendencies. "When they are in this situation, they tend to do this".

It's information. That's it. The word "analytics" makes it seem like something more than it is. You're just taking information to make a more informed decision. To just blindly "go by the analytics" means you aren't really coaching, and really is just a cop out for bad coaching decisions. And that's all that was by Dan Campbell yesterday. Bad coaching decisions.

There are many more factors at play than just the expected conversion percentage. The overall game situation affects the usefulness of the "analytics". In the middle of the 3rd quarter Campbell had the chance to create a three score lead by taking a FG, which would have negated the 49ers FG on the opening drive of the 2nd half. That is a no brainer and his decision to go for it is indefensible. Period.

The "analytics" say to go for it on 4th and goal at the one yard line. But if there are 10 seconds left in a tie game is that the smart move?

Getting too caught up in being aggressive and a willingness to take risks got in the way of a proper coaching decision.

That ball was never going to bounce. Probably the dumbest damn onsides attempt I’ve seen in my life. Texas had no shot of recovering that.
Looked like something a monkey would come up with after it bit a kid at Halloween.

The Cowboys recovered an onside kick just like that a couple of years ago.

This post is as unnecessary as halftime band performances. I’m honestly not sure I’ve ever watched one, personally. If someone in a group I’m with is ever espousing “let’s stay in our seats for the band”, we’re unlikely to ever see that dipshit near our seats again.

I remember the band dorks would tell us how much harder they had to work than we did as athletes. Nothing is more eyeroll inducing. Oh, you have to hit your marks and stay in tune while walking? I have to run full speed at other angry males and then we beat the shit out of each other for 3 hours before I go home and do homework. GTFO. I also never saw them during basketball and baseball season as their upperclassmen got honors credits for their dumbass 3 months of “hard work”. It’s a fucking grift, really.

Did some band dude steal your girlfriend? Hard work doesn't always involve violent collisions. My kids did both band and varsity athletics (at an all- district level). Just not football. Musical talent and athleticism are not mutually exclusive. Did you hate the drill team girls too?

Texas fans would scream that it was totally unfair to rank Alabama ahead of them since Texas won the head-to-head matchup, all while forgetting that 99.9% of them thought TCU got screwed out of the playoff in 2014 when in fact it was Baylor whom they should’ve been arguing for since they’d defeated TCU head-to-head that year.

Not too many Texas fans cared one way or the other between Baylor and TCU.
