  1. He can’t be on the playoff roster at this rate. Where would you trust him to pitch?
  2. By all accounts Brantley should be back Tuesday or Wednesday. Which would mean for Verlanders next start, assuming Dubon in center and Maldy catching, that leaves Yordan, Diaz, Brantley and Chas for the LF and DH spots. I wanted a better bench but not because we don’t start our best players.
  3. Wtf Gallo. That may be the dumbest shit I’ve seen all year. That’s saying something.
  4. Ghosts of Astros past. Keuchel helping us out and Correa and Vazquez shitting the bed with RISP.
  5. Well ledge…until next time. I’m back baby!
  6. I did start to mention something about this being about the time last year that he had the hand soreness and what not but I wasn’t going to jinx him. I have a knack for Murphy-ing shit up. But since y’all brought it up…He needs to drink some milk or something.
  7. Maldonado and Dubon have more home runs than Yordan since Aug 6. And I have as many as Yordan.
  8. Pitch count
  9. Until and unless Brantley comes back and can play left, this is our best lineup
  10. If we miss the playoffs by a couple games there will be enough “what if” and “should have” material for 50 pages added to this thread. The first day.
  11. We won’t make the playoffs
  12. It makes no sense to put the guy who supposedly can’t hit left handed pitching behind two left hand batters who will most likely see left handed relievers. Especially when the guy behind him loves left handed pitching. I’m not even sure Dusty believes his own bullshit.
  13. Maybe the pitchers being relaxed is the reason for their shit show. A little urgency and focus might do them some good.
  14. We’re gonna need to have weekly meetings.
  15. I don’t know what company makes those pitch coms but they should be fired.
  16. Damn…looks like I’ll be going back to work
  17. Seems like we wanted a left handed outfield bat…
  18. Is Brantley saying he’s not physically ready because of discomfort or because his timing still isn’t ready? Those are two different things entirely. If he’s chomping at the bit but still feels not ready, I hope that means he still needs some at bats. I’m not sure how eager he would be if he was hurting. But how much Dusty added to that or what was written who knows. I wouldn’t count on Brantley ever showing up and contributing anymore until he actually steps on the field. He’s a ghost and a rumor until then.
  19. Seeing that Sugarland plays Friday and Saturday night and Astros play at 12:40 on Sunday there’s no way he gets to Detroit this weekend. Hopefully he meets them in Boston is best scenario now.
  20. Brantley back to Sugarland for two games. If no Yordan I would have loved to have Brantley sitting on the bench last night for one AB instead of Julks. If that’s all he ever provides, I’ll take it in the playoffs.
  21. https://x.com/michaelschwab13/status/1694725860396609795?s=46&t=0NSPXsQuydBFNWpJIm0EQw I don’t know why tweets aren’t embedding. Lineup tweet. Sorry about that
  22. Well. Yordan will never have a Kirk Gibson moment in Houston.
  23. Sign Duvall this winter. If for no other reason that we can stop pitching to him. Dude will hit 50 at MM.
  24. Damnit. Well top of the order in the 9th. Walk this bitch off. Kalas mentioned Yordan and I was wondering if they could have had Yordan stand in the on deck circle or just grab a bat and helmet and stand at the dugout and make believe he might pinch hit…maybe get Jake a better pitch since they wouldn’t want to walk him and load bases for Yordan?
