  1. I blame Diaz for not knowing the situation and not hitting a homerun instead of a single. Cmon rook.
  2. I know Pressly has good stats and has been good for us but no closer has ever made me want to not watch the 9th more than him.
  3. What a crazy way to end it. Will look like a pretty W in the paper in the morning though.
  4. Cmon Jake. If you ever had a fly ball in you let’s get it now
  5. Cmon Astros. Wtf. Walk off dinger.
  6. Nice win. Angels just scored 3 in the 9th and up by 4. Time to tighten the noose
  7. Grandview Zebras won back to back 3A state championships in football in 2018 and 2019. They have a good program.
  8. Thanks. I didn’t know he was sick. Had a big weekend. 🍻🥴 missed a few things I guess
  9. Pena gets a third day off. Interesting. I don’t have access to local radio but doesn’t Dana do a show on Monday or Tuesday mornings? No word on McCullers MRI or Yordan this week yet?
  10. I think this may be the way to go. I’d love a bat but we don’t have the minor league capital to spend on rentals. If Pirates or Cubs want a package for a Reynolds or Happ that would be here a while maybe, but I don’t even know if that’s possible. I think we should look for a couple high end relievers. They are cheaper. We make the 3rd and 4th starters go no more than 5 in the playoffs, assuming we make it. I don’t want Montero anywhere near the mound. Then we hope all our bats get healthy and/or keep progressing ie Abreu, Brantley and Diaz specifically and that Dusty has the foresight to play them. We can win series with Framber, Javier, Brown, bullpen game, keep them to 4 or less, hope we get a few knocks and Yordan runs into one like last year. Nailbiters. Or we go into the next series with the Rangers down by 8 games, get swept and go into July 11 games back. What do the Astros look like as sellers? I don’t think it’s even been considered. What kind of package would Tucker bring for a reload if signing him will be problematic? Never considered it until just now but hmmmmm. Orioles have lots of major league ready guys. Does he get you enough prospects to get an already signed Reynolds from Pittsburgh? Does he still want to be traded? Just an example, I have no idea. This is the kind of stuff off days put in your head. I shouldn’t even read this stuff at work lol
  11. Obviously you live here or been here lol
  12. Let’s win this thing. I’ve got aggys talking shit all day. As aggys do after they lose and don’t win anything.
  13. Squash, zucchini, onion in one and another platter of wings and riblets in the other.
  14. Lol if you are anywhere near Wharton County Texas come on. We just added six chicken halves and 3 salmon steaks. There’s 3 of us. Probably won’t eat a bite.
  15. Sunday tailgate at the house. Ready for the game 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
  16. I didn’t get to watch one pitch but coming and reading this thread is an anxiety inducing, mystifying, angering and strangely satisfying experience.
  17. You can’t waste an Abreu three run homer. We were playing with house money and just kept drinking the free drinks until we threw up on the table.
  18. Injuries are why you get beat 10-3 not why you lose games by one run 3 nights in a row.
  19. Rangers did their job. We spit the bit again.
  20. I couldn’t watch so I’m not sure that’s a plus or minus but it sounds like bullshit. Fire Dusty.
  21. Wrong thread. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  22. Old time National League run right there. Let’s hope they remember that the next time we are in extra innings.
  23. Damn! I was gonna stay offline this weekend but these beers and that HR made me come see if what I saw was real! It wasn’t my lying eyes!
  24. Screw it. No sense being Debbie Downers. Let’s sweep Cleveland, let the Rays sweep Texas and things will look a lot better on Monday morning! Have a good weekend! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
  25. True. Youre right. I get it. I didn’t mean none should be on the team and if we had a legit LF (and I don’t mean Yordan) and Chas in center, Tucker in right, that would be fine. I think Chas should be the guy. I’ve always liked the energy he brings. But Meyers and Julks do just enough that Dusty sits him 3 days a week. Rolling out all three in some sort of rotation hurts them all. And putting 2 or 3 out there at a time isn’t optimal. Trade for an everyday LF and put Chas in center and let’s roll. And it’s all kind of mute with the gaping, stink hole at first.
