I've been thinking the same thing. Usually it's not like this till mid-late July and August. Instead it's been full on Texas summer since early June. It seems like it just went from 85-88 degrees one week to 98-101 degrees the next, I think the worst part is the lack of rain though. I've had some rain forecast a couple of times and even heard thunder but it just never comes. Since early June I think I've had about 20-30 mins of good rain and I may be overestimating that.

My water bill was $436 last month -- just trying to keep my landscaping alive.  This is as bad as 2011.

Disagree, Kansas state was tough as nails in the mid 90s to mid2000s. They were perfect for the big 12.

Baylor,  besides the rape issues, has been holding their own the last decade.

I think the big12 was just fine but needed an innovator at the helm and needed some type of loyalty among all the schools... should have expanded with ideas and value by adding the Arizona schools and then west Virginia and Louisville. Once that was established move on to BYU/Utah or Bosie and Cincinnati. Or hell all 4

    What could have been...

I disagree.  Neither school was worth enough to end or prevent great annual matchups like Texas-Nebraska, Nebraska-OU, CU-OU, CU-Texas, Neb-Ags, CU-Ags, etc.  Nebraska and CU would have had a much easier time recruiting in a ten team conference where they played the southern schools every year.

I actually preferred the 2012 onwards Big 12 because of the round robin. That felt like a real conference, the old one was two mini-conferences and it was kind of shitty because the South was generally better than the North.

But the original Big 12 had more prestige and all that.

The original Big 12 minus Baylor and K State would have been a perfect conference.  The ten-team round robin is by far the best setup.

Not many dud matchups when you have these as your ten teams -- and I think Nebraska playing Texas, OU, and A&M every year would have helped them out so much in recruiting (and to a lesser extent CU would have benefitted).  The original sin of the Big 12 was killing off OU and Nebraska as an annual rivalry game.  I think OU is most at fault for that as they had been getting their ass kicked by NU at the time.

    Texas

    OU

    Nebraska

    A&M

    Colorado

    Texas Tech

    Okie Lite

    Missouri

    ISU

    KU

When all 10 play a round robin that is a lot of good inventory.

What really should happen now is that schools should be in one conference for Football and Men's basketball.  And then regional conferences for nonrevenue sports.

    welcome to the party, pal

I wear that like a badge of honor.

The same people who were all in on Hugo and Russian conspiracies for 4 years.  Just a different brand of Q type politics.

  5. Purgatory.  A little detour on the way to paradise.  You add up all your mortal sins and multiply that number by 50. Then you add up all your venial sins and multiply that by 25. You add that together and that's your sentence. I figure I'm gonna have to do 6,000 years before I get accepted into heaven and 6,000 years is nothin' in eternity terms. I can do that standing on my head. It's like a couple of days here.

  6. Gentlemen, we’re not doctors. The NC2A has a testing program for this sort of thing. I suggest we let them handle it. And its not that hard to gain 35 pounds over the summer if you hit the weights really hard.

Fuck off, Sack. They are not remotely comparable

    Wasn't comparing Babbitt and Griner,

I have seen a lot of people here claim cops should never shoot someone who is unarmed.  I disagree with that statement.  There are plenty of times someone who is unarmed deserves to be shot.  Babbitt is one of those examples.  So was Michael Brown.

Nice equivalence, lol. Difference is Griner is still alive and will be free well before 10 years have passed. Meanwhile, that cunt Ashli Babbitt will still be rotting worm food.

Nice to see some of you agree there are circumstances where a cop shooting an unarmed person is justified.

His post-Texas career (at SMU and pro stints in the AAF, and NFL) suggests Mack Brown as a big part of the problem.

He was nothing special at SMU and played in a very QB friendly system.  As a 5th year guy, he finally had an average season.

He sucked dick at Texas.  Had nothing to do with Mack or Greg, who had had success with every other QB that started for them prior to squints.
