They are horrific from deep. In the last 9 games they averaged around 5.8 made 3’s a game. In a shitty conference too. They are the worst 3 point shooting team we’ve played all year. And we shot even worse from deep than them which I didn’t think would happen. That was an ugly game and not some defensive clinic. They missed layups and made some horrible passes and turnovers.

They missed layups because our bigs have length and force them to either rush shots or adjust because they have to shot over them. Jim Jackson talked about it multiple times.

I don't agree at all. CSU was terrible offensively because we kept them on the perimeter where they are not good. They beat you at the rim/midrange.

derka, hahahaha, that stupid motherfucker was claiming after the brackets came out that Texas was in bigtime trouble. Now, it's CSU sucks. He's always fucking talking out of his ass.

    According to T-Rank, CSU is #212 in 3p% and #8 in 2P%.

This was an incredible defensive gamplan. They let a bad 3 point team jack 3s and said "we aren't getting beat to the rim." We won this game because of the defensive gameplan.

    But Terry can't coach defense.

If Abmas makes his FTs it's a 15 point blowout.

People also don't seem to understand that CSU is good for college basketball standards. They are #28 in Kenpom. It was a good draw but it's not like we were playing scrubs tonight.

We had an excellent defensive performance against a really good offensive team, we covered by nearly 4 times the line and that is with our 2 best offensive players having horrible games. People just don't like Terry for some reason that only makes sense to them, but he can coach.

BTW, on the subject of free throw shooting, this is the best free throw shooting team we have had since at least 1997, maybe ever.  And not by a little bit, by two whole percentage points.  Previous best was 73.6% with Durant.  This year... 75.7%.

The 2010 Barnes team shot 63.3%. Holy hell.

Last year was 74.8%, it appears Terry makes it a priority.

I appreciate the honesty. I however will have zero mixed emotions if we lose to Barnes. F that.  I'm hoping he gets upset in round 1 and we don't have to play them.

I mean that could very well happen and it would only be a shock to Rick's personal dick sucker.

My understanding, given what I know about NIL and other sports, is that the head coach ultimately oversees the allocation of program-related NIL. Corporate NIL is another story.

There is no such thing as program-related NIL. That would be against the current rules. There is the Texas One Fund, Corporate NIL deals, and the Surly Burnt Ends. There may be other funds like Surly, but I am not sure they have been reported here.

Now eventually I think it will move inside the purvue of the athletic department to establish baseline payments across all sports. That is when the W2's will happen and the scholarships will end.
