Hey, has anyone seen @Nicole44 and Kristi Noem in the same place at the same time?

Ugg she is so gross. I get people don’t necessarily like my posts on the protest bullshit but damn. Like she’s 🤮 and no way. Yuck no.

  2. “Since the Israel-Hamas war began, the U.S. Education Department has launched civil rights investigations into dozens of universities and schools in response to complaints of antisemitism or Islamophobia. Among those under investigation are many colleges facing protests, including Harvard and Columbia.”

    https://www.kens5.com/article/news/nation-world/israel-hamas-conflict/university-protests-israel-gaza/507-4fd0b2b4-fc48-4309-a099-690450425395

The article lists Emory, Emerson College, City College of New York, USC, Ohio State, UT, Indiana U Bloomington and so on.

My question is this: what if the groups were deranged MAGA folk. Would it be ok to shut down campus. Graduation ceremonies and the like? We’ve seen what’s happened at Columbia. What if the protestors were involved in Jan 6 and sitting outside government buildings in every state and you could see earlier encampments not leaving and becoming more emboldened? So just let the protests grow to what is happening in Columbia? Why aren’t they out in front of government buildings? The government is the only entity that can change the tide of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

I don’t give a fuck if no one here likes me or cares for my opinion. In many ways it’s why I post less and less on surly (most posters probably are relieved.) I donate when I can to the World Kitchen (bc I know my money is going to help.) the whole situation in Gaza is beyond my ability to help. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel for and love those people who are suffering. I do but I’m also not foolish enough to believe that we can force Israel to do much of anything. Neg away!

Still in Atlanta so The protestors are safe from me if they go strolling into the entertainment district for a cocktail after a wild day of trying to occupy campus.

  3. “I asked them when they arrested me, 'What are you arresting me for? What are you arresting me for?' They said, 'I don't have to tell you.' I said, 'Yes, you do.' They said, 'here did you get your law degree?' It's like OK, whatever. I got to the jail – they said it was for criminal trespassing," Kayden Casper said. "They can't hold us for too long because we didn't do nothing."

Good on Casper the friendly protesting ghost getting into UT. He goes there I guess? Right? Like all the other protestors on campuses across the country. He’s quoted in no fewer than a dozen articles. Maybe he’s an aggy. The plan is to destroy all college campuses in the hopes they can win a title for something if we are all distracted. I’m just glad I got into UT back in the day. Seems a lot harder now.

  4. I don’t know. I guess maybe don’t suck off on Hamas and cry fowl when the chickens come home to roost? Like this is a very organized protest across college campuses for what purpose? educate all of us on how sad it is? This 1000 year old war. Make us stop what exactly? Protesting the strikes on Gaza for what end? Why now? Especially after an unprecedented attack by Hamas. These fucks protesting need to go the fuck home. Go home.

You have to pick a side in this war. Sitting and cover your faces and crying about a thousand plus year old war. I have sympathy  for the innocent people in harms way. But this is bullshit and these hired fucks should go the fuck home.

if you do what you’ve always done you will get what you’ve always gotten. The Middle East and Russia remind me of this. Still trying to do the same shit and get different results. Maybe I don’t know try new leadership. Find better leadership. I have about as much sympathy overall for the Middle East as I do the Russian people. Time and again they choose poorly. Boo the fuck hoo.

if I seem pissed the fuck off I am. I rarely wade into this shit. I’m Lebanese, Jewish and German/english. I studied history. What the fuck do I know? Not much. Go home protesting dumb fucks. Go home. And who paid them to organize like this? And fuck them too.

  5. Just for fun…before the monsoon. He’s making incredible shots over and over again. On a whole other level from everyone else. Period. I don’t know what happens when he takes time off for fatherhood and how that all will go but as of now there isn’t anyone playing on this level.

  6. Police believe he may have been targeting women in the attack for the most part.

Cauchi’s family released a statement saying he “has battled with mental health issues” since he was a teenager.

“Joel’s actions were truly horrific, and we are still trying to comprehend what has happened,” the family said.

“We are in contact with both the New South Wales Police Force and Queensland Police Service and have no issues with the Police Officer who shot our son as she was only doing her job to protect others, and we hope she is coping alright,” the statement said.

Andrew Cauchi, the father of Joel Cauchi, told CNN affiliate 9 News that he was “heartbroken” for the families of the victims.

“I’m extremely sorry. I’m heartbroken for you. Look, this is so horrendous, that I can’t even explain it,” he said. “To you he’s a monster. To me, he was a very sick boy. He was a very sick boy.”

what meds was this guy not taking?

I read a couple of articles that he was known to police and had a mental Health history and issues. I assume he’d been diagnosed and likely prescribed meds and so on. Just went off them. It’s not a massive leap of logic. This shit happened more times than we can count of late. Off meds and does something violent is happening with increasing regularity.

  9. Scottie is a bad ass!

What an amazing tribute to Vern.

Scottie Ice. Sincerely. He’s just like IceMan. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Aberg is going to be a force. Marikawa already is. Glad to see Homa having a good Masters. Same for Fleetwood. BDC falling apart was expected. I wish Scottie could finish with an Eagle so he too can get that crystal trinket for an Eagle.

  10. If the best a person can do off their medication is murder innocent people: I am sorry but they need to be forced to take their medication or be institutionalized. There is no dignity letting a person not take their medication.  None. Now people are dead bc we think it’s “mean” to force someone to take their meds. It’s not. The only difference is he didn’t have a gun he had a knife. He could have killed the same amount of people or more with a gun but if he’d had a GUN people would just be focused on that. Which is fine. Gun violence enrages me. But I’m tired of people missing the very large elephant in the room. Fucked up people being allowed to wing it. And that’s a recipe for disaster.

This is a pretty good write up. No known motive, but they’re blaming it on unspecified mental illness.

Kinda common place these days with this particular age group. Just paying attention. This age group

of people have likely been given the most therapy of any generation before them.

They are the most “maligned” among us. Yet they are so fucking unhappy. I have a sad answer for them. It never gets any better. Sack the fuck up.

If the best they can do off their  meds is grab a knife and go stab a bunch of people—they need to be force fed meds for the rest of their lives.

Against their will. If that is all they can do then you have two choices: institutionalized or dead. Imost people can’t control themselves any better than that. People just don’t want to hear the truth which is: they can control themselves to a degree they’d rather not want to.

Outside of Scottie’s eagle, it’s a blood bath out there.

It does not look fun. The wind should be much better today they said this morning. But honestly, this is brutal. I do like a little disaster golf but this is ridiculous. Puts going all over.

  13. Since this will be our last Masters on planet earth. Who do we want to come in second if Scottie winds up with the win? I pick Homa. But most of the dudes up in the top seem like good dudes

Iron Dome is better than anything we have, so I doubt many drones get through, but… some will.

Israel can hit any target they want in Iran so their response will be interesting.

🙏🏼 my heart just aches. There will be a response. And quite frankly if Israel took out the theocracy of Iran with a couple of blasts I’d not give two fucks. Mind you I’m not talking about civilians. I’m talking about where their “government” is and leaders are.

sad shit of affairs that’s happened to their country since the Shah fell. Jmo. Sorry for posting in the thread after my singular post months ago but this is just upsetting and scary shit.

Woman accused of posing as Uber driver in downtown Austin, drugging and robbing men

    https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/woman-accused-of-posing-as-uber-driver-in-downtown-austin-drugging-and-robbing-men#

A woman accused of posing as an Uber driver and robbing men in downtown Austin used stolen credit cards to make over $33,000 worth of fraudulent purchases, according to court documents.

An arrest affidavit said 41-year-old Destini Cionne Robinson is a suspect in at least two incidents that took place in Austin’s entertainment district.

I mean yes and no. It is definitely a game show. That’s why most of the elimination challenges have time limits and gimmicks. But also Top Chef has bolstered careers and given legitimacy to otherwise little known (or locally renowned) chefs. I think restaurants and the public give contestants and winners higher esteem for having cooked on the show

I love the show. Agree with this.

  17. Here is the article about the incident in Brenham:

    https://www.fox26houston.com/news/brenham-dps-office-crash-multiple-injuries-reported

I am particularly drawn to his prior record below. We keep denying the simple fact that there are people that don’t need to be free. Some people will never “get it” and this guy is one of those fucking people.

Parker is facing multiple felony charges at this time and according to court records, he has previous criminal charges going back to 1999 including criminal trespass, arson, and prohibited weapons.

On what planet (outside of California) does this guy get a CDL? Now a person who worked at the DPS is dead. At least he won’t be out of jail for a long time now. But maybe if he gets out he can kill someone else?

That'll be a capital-murder rap, and he'll get a cell in Huntsville waiting his turn.

man shows DPS why he was denied a CDL by stealing a semi and intentionally crashing into a DPS office. I mean. It’s like workplace shooters who were fired. Let’s show everyone why the fuck you were fired in the first place assholes.
