  1. curious why you think he might not make it. injuries? missed time? pretty much all the speculative articles about who gets in written in the last 2-3 years had him on it.
  2. yeah, I forgot that part. well let the games begin! being an NFL, CFB, NBA or NCAAM coach has to be up there golden parachute wise....
  3. the league takes all types. just how big of an ass was he to just drop off the face of the earth like this after a HOF career.
  4. it's the guarantee. can they commit to 10 years? no doubt they can pay it if it was just a matter of what the number is on a yearly basis (they've casually agreed to swallow Orgeron's contract without blinking after all). it's a new AD and maybe a new line of thinking but that institution seems to like the ability to make a change swiftly. guaranteeing $100M would put a cramp in that. but who knows in this crazy world of CFB salaries.... and if it happens, we will all have A&M to thank for unleashing a different kind of madness
  5. he's not leaving that money on the table. LSU would have to match or come fairly close. one place is ready to build him a statue if he wins the conference, the other has go through 3 coaches who have won National Titles in the last how many years?
  6. ..and people wonder where the impression that Texas fans are arrogant and deluded comes from.
  7. with the preseason injuries that they had, its amazing what the Ravens are doing on offense
  8. NFC East is terrible. Good thing you don't have to root for SOS in the NFL
  9. Naomie Harris - born London, England. Lashana Lynch - born London, England.
  10. no, was talking about the absolute sinkhole that recruiting had become (losing legacy 5-star recruit for one) and the general chaos that surrounded the football program. not all of it his fault and the admin made a sacrificial lamb of him, but he was well compensated for his time. the program had reached a point where no avenue of light was seen. divorce the decision to hire Sark away from the decision to fire Herman. you can evaluate them independently.
  11. Herman had to go. Memories are short, but some are forgetting about the things that went beyond just what was going on for 4 hours on Saturdays.
  12. I think he had already won something important by then though. Just guessing.
  13. at this point, part of the lure might be to prove that any coach, even a bad coach is going to get an extended period of time (and be left alone) to fix things. I don't think our program is half-way as bad to coaches as other say but the narrative is out there (read any of the The Athletic articles that interviews coaches, agents etc about various programs) and we have to combat that.
  14. things like this are what I mean about the OC and HC thing not working well for him....
  15. I only know off the top of my head one other school that is into the catch-phrase thing on Twitter. you know who it is. always bugged me from the start
  16. I know that the defense held well for most of the game, but I can't get that last scoring drive and the call to have 2 safeties back when they were clearly going to run out of mind. That spoke volumes about his understanding of the game.
  17. I don't think he can handle OC and HC duties well at the same time, and unfortunately he is only good at one of them. he is totally lost in terms of making changes or taking the pulse of the game and seeing the train coming before its too late.
  18. 1st blown lead in back-to-back games in 18 years. the trend of writing the wrong kind of history continues for the 3rd straight head coach
  19. the coaching is bad. certainly was today
  20. when you have the announcers bewildered at what you are calling... well, that says it all
  21. 2nd week in a row, the other RB ends with better stats than our elite RB.
  22. I didn't think we could equal last week's showing but this is right up there.
  23. if we play for a FG we deserve to lose
