please stop posting that it's a different Washington team. It's a different defense they are playing. a massively underrated front 7 and a secondary that had given up a number of TDs that we do in 2 games.

gotta say having Brady, Woodson, Jeter at the game is some serious sports star power.

Why would undefeated Michigan that beat the SEC champ and Ohio state not deserve it? Who would?
we have deluded fans.
like Washington just magically got lucky last week, and it had nothing to do with our team. in reality, this Michigan D would have given us a ton of problems

Roman Wilson was open for 6

seriously, JJ show something

Marvin Harrison Jr might be that good but there has never been a better year for a team that needs a WR to just sit tight and wait for one to drop their way. watch some stupid team trade up despite that to draft MHJ

Odunze is beating Johnson if the NFL is watching. those are some serious holds

Football people. Compared to Penix, what can Quinn do better with his sidearm delivery… for less balls batted down.
I think their release points are dissimilar

"Missed opportunity for Michigan to build on this lead"....
Um... okay.

wondering if JJ and Ewers are still higher on draft boards than Penix
-
he is definitely not answering the questions about if this offense is hiding him.

JJ doesn't impress

I would trust Ewers over Arch due to his experience. That's only rational. He gives you the best chance to win now, but the long term cost to Arch's development is not worth it to me.
I would look at the Tua and Trevor Lawrence situations, and say that sometimes the best chance to win now, is playing the QB you know to be better, even if it's a less experienced one.

Sark will not start Arch over him, but I'd rather develop Arch than play Ewers.
if he can't make that decision, despite having been with Saban up close, then he isn't long for here. you recruit as best you can, and then let it play out honestly. anything else is a bad bargain. I know Sark trends towards being a nice guy, but you have to believe an offensive guy like him who relies so much on a passing QB will not hamstring himself like that.

Bo Nix still sucks if you ask me.
Penix has "it." Can read quickly, hit receivers crisply. Quinn Ewers does not have "it."
sometimes "it" is just repetition. or working at your craft. if not, why doesn't 'it" show up immediately from day one? did Brady not have "it" in college?
Ewers can get better. A real competition would be helpful for him to do so.

This seems reactionary. Sweat and Murphy carried our defense all year.
I'm not saying they aren't good. They were great this year, but I'm saying you are comparing them to one player who many in Pittsburgh will tell you should be in the Hall of Fame, and the other, despite underachieving, was considered to be among the best pass rushing DTs to play in the NFL when he put the effort into it. That's a crazy high bar

Sweat and Murphy will go down in Texas lore like Hampton and Rogers. Going to really miss them. But we can seriously improve at Edge and in the secondary. And I'm not as worried about finding replacements at offensive skill positions.
The realistic goal this season was a Big 12 championship. We lucked our way into the 4 team playoff. I feel good that Sark will learn from this game and keep us on the right path.
I would trade both Sweat and Murphy for just one of Hampton or Rogers. Not in the same zip code. Award or not.

I want Ewers back, and I think it makes us a better team, but honest to God, there better be a true QB competition next year. Sark needs to challenge his inner Saban and Swinney on that one.

Are we losing our 4 year starter at QB? Sweet Christ, calm the fuck down. We were only reasonably in line to win the Big 12. This was a fantastic season and we’re actually ready to go into the SEC with a decent schedule.
didn't say it wasn't a fantastic season, but I just subscribe more to the don't take it for granted philosophy regarding the chances to win it all.
nobody can deny the road isn't tougher. Sark's gotta make some changes, and there will be some growing pains involved.
