They should bring in Jon Taffer to scream at some people, it would at least be entertaining.

So ESPN has Jared Wiley ranked ahead of Sanders?

I thought Gray was hired during the Strong era but then got hired as an NFL DC before he ever stepped on campus.

Taaffe was a smart and instinctive guy that really helped give us a solid floor last year but if he’s still starting next year and not just depth that’s not great.

If Burrell is carrying a good 232, that’s excellent news. Also Brooks Kieschnick Jr? Had no idea.

This. The few veterans I know/knew said that was by far the most accurate portrayal of the Normandy invasion. Frank Denius once told us, "It was 100%, spot-on in terms of sight and sound. Except for the smell and I don't ever want to know that smell again so that's okay with me."
Funny you mention this, an old supervisor of mine took his old man to see this at the theater when it came out. He had stormed the Omaha beach. He had tears coming down his face when that scene was played and he told his son, I smell dead bodies.

So I tried to do some homework before posting and read a few pages back. There was a chart from 2023 that showed some sections were $500 donation along with $1000 seat. I realize prices change but is that a realistic price for say TD club? $1500 a seat or am I way off because I’m not thinking of something else. I’m not a Texas ex but my son is a senior and my daughter will be a freshman next year so I figured it might be something we’d invest in.

Daughter just got her acceptance letter to UT nursing. She had almost resigned herself to going somewhere else because acceptance is so difficult. We’re beyond proud of her but she’s a little hesitant to fully commit right now. I think she’s a little shocked but also nervous about leaving home for the first time. My son will be a senior Biology/ pre med track student so I think the transition will be fine. I just don’t think this is something she can pass up.
Btw, she’s ranked #3 out of about 750. She’s taken as many sciences (all Ap or pre-AP) as she was able to, but I think what put her over the top was her experience at CAMP camp and her essay about her experiences there. For those of you who have kids that want to give them a life changing lesson, think about having them sign up as a counselor. Counselors are 1 on 1 with a special needs child for a week. My daughter was administering food through a feeding tube, changing diapers if needed, helping with showers or sponge baths, and getting children ready for the day. It’s a real camp with swimming and horseback riding for kids that don’t normally qualify for camps. As much as the kids get out of this, the counselors get even more. My daughter still keeps in touch with one of her “campers” and even went to her birthday party. Just sharing for future applicants.

Had a “Bo Knows Your Sister” shirt I got at a place like Spencer’s , got a lot of laughs, CSB.

I had 2M about 3 weeks ago and it was just above average. The brisket was moist enough but slightly undercooked. The ribs were cooked perfect. I also had some of the sausage with serrano peppers and oaxaca cheese. Everything was under seasoned including the sausage. I’ve been many times before and been very happy but they definitely had an off day. (Pics below)
Burnt Bean has been consistently great every time. I haven’t tried Reese Bros but am planning to soon.- 2

How is the guy going to say anything outside of “who?”. He wasn’t with the dolphins and doesn’t play DL. Fangio is going to randomly call him up and say “hey man, you’re not going to believe this assistant to the DL coach we hired. he’s unbelievable!”? Right.
Hell, who even knew that Mercer played football? The only things I knew about the place was that it was founded by Roy D. Mercer and that a lot of asswhippings were handed out around campus.
That made you feel better to type out, I bet. These kinds of idiotic missives are one of the irritants of being a board participant. Because some idiot or two that a poster remembers saying something that tweaked them years ago, we get to get told years later that there was a raging debate of stupid across multiple posters that they were all ultimately wrong on.
Feel to prove me wrong. I call bullshit.
Roy D Mercer reference made me chuckle.

I'm Gen X, and my Top 10 High School movies, without regard to generation, are...
- Breakfast Club
- Dazed and Confused
- Superbad
- Fast Times
- Ferris Bueller
- Sixteen Candels
- Heathers
- Say Anything
- Clueless
- My Bodyguard
There are so many others, it's hard to limit it to just 10.
I was waiting for someone to mention Say Anything, great movie. Personally Weird Science or Dazed and Confused are my faves.

Tell us you know nothing about the SEC without telling us. Auburn is a cool college town, that is really growing. Its close to his home and has National Championship potential. Chizik won there, go figure. As did Gus and Tuberville. There is plenty of money at Auburn, SEC in general. You may be confusing AU with Miss St. Gameday there is exceptional, they recruit FL/GA heavily and always have athletes. Auburn in general has a very good rep in the south, where he is from and is plenty well capitalized. They arent UGA or UF of course in NIL potential, but they will do fine. IMO most of us Texas fans are going to be surprised about the SEC in terms of the draw to places like Auburn, Ole Miss Columbia etc.. I dont think the deep south is quite like we remember, 66% of the incoming Freshman at Bama were from out of state.
You seem triggered. I know plenty about the SEC. Most of the time a school as bad as Auburn has been recently has trouble getting recruits to buy in and commit. They currently have the 11th ranked class in the country and are contending for KJ Lacey and Ryan Williams. Hugh Freeze has a history of recruiting fuckery so I made a joke. Lighten up Francis.

I’m trying to understand Auburn’s allure in the new NIL era. Are they throwing stupid aggy type money at players or is Freeze running whores again?
