Not sure what kind of math Rachel was using in the HoH competition.

When she was experiencing obvious brain freeze (I sure as hell didn’t know what comp Chen was talking about either), I was screaming, “Write zero!” She woulda won.

And as she was voting to evict Chris, I think I saw Angela smile for the first time this season.

  2. Well, bye.

i hope Sam’s special power precludes anyone in the first three evictions from returning. Remember, if she doesn’t use it, the fourth evictee will be automatically given a chance to return.

(Nice of Chris to stand in front of the door so the houseguests couldn’t see the crowd.)

    Edit after the Julie interview....

They wouldn’t reveal details about the vote or “Level 6” if Chris was going to be allowed to return to the game, so bye bye bitchie. What a poser. I love Scottie pimping the idea of the shirts, then voting to evict.

  3. Tom’s mother is an attorney, so I’m sure he came from a well to do environment, but he’s actually said he’s just a Midwest boy, and not from wealth. That’s why I was surprised when he was boasting to Greg about the joys or being filthy rich.

The creator actually wrote a screenplay on the Murdoch clan, so yes, it’s pretty safe to say Rupert & Family are an inspiration .

    Quote

A work of imagined history in the manner of "The Queen" or "W," "Murdoch" takes place over the course of a single day, the Australian-born mogul's 78th birthday. His third wife, Wendi, has organized a surprise party. Murdoch uses the occasion to make a request of his four adult children: that they agree to alter the terms of the family trust to give his two young daughters from his third marriage voting rights. The children -- James, Elisabeth, Lachlan and Prudence -- discuss and argue over the request, scheme against each other, form alliances and repeatedly get manipulated by their father. Ultimately, they reject his appeal, each for his or her own reasons.

  5. Yeah, she’s boring, the guys are boring.

Shoulda went with the Arkansas brunette with the hillbilly family, and moved them into the mansion with the guys. That would have been good TV. But then Arie dumped Becca, and she became the choice.

And this episode had more angst about someone being a virgin than American Pie.

Is there a name for playing a guy four games or less to preserve his redshirt? Like, it’s November 1st and Ingram has played in three games. What’s that called now?

Oddly enough, the phrase is, “Don’t let the player hit the Red Five, or we’re screwed!”

  7. What was it, a week ago, when we heard it may be three, four months before they could attempt a rescue? Then we heard about the rapidly depleting oxygen supply, then the forecast for rain... I was disheartened.

Save for the diver who lost his life, the outcome is beyond my wildest hopes. This news is like a beacon of light thru all the shitty headlines we read each day.

Great job, Thailand and British badass divers.

  8. I wasn’t paying close attention to her skin, probably looking in the reflection for a boob, so I just went back and saw many of the carved words, including the aforementioned  “Vanish” and what appeared to be “April” on her back. Her legs seemed to be covered in words, too.

This helps explain the graphic at the end about substance abuse and self harm. Girl literally drank alcohol like water.

I liked how upon arrival to the homestead, she showed no affection to her mother or her stepfather, but embraced the maid (who gave off a pretty good Get Out grandma vibe).

I always find it funny when one of these rubes talks about Mexicans stealing jobs.  How do you steal a job?  It's not a loaf of bread.

what happened tonight? tornado warning 60 miles from here but our local news has their eyes on the sky!

Tyler continued to have influence over Kaitlyn, and made her believe it was her idea to target Swaggy.

She put up Winston and Scotty, claiming Winston is the target and Scotty is the pawn, when the real plan is to backdoor Swaggy.

Rachel won the CrapApp, which will have an outsider come in the house for 24 hours and rip her a new one (I’m guessing his words will be provided by rude inter web posters).

Tyler, who is indeed proving to be a great player, won the good app, and the reward (The Cloud) is amazing: if he thinks he’s at risk at any time in the NEXT EIGHT WEEKS, either during regular noms or veto replacement noms, he can pull himself out of contention and be safe.

  11. If I had video of the 1980 Texas-Oklahoma game, I’d show you and your boss how effective the QB draw can be.

Donnie Little beat that Sooner ass that day, and they couldn’t do a damn thing aboit it.

i thought the Thanksgiving episode was the best yet..

the dinner table "what are you thankful for" scene was cringeworthy in a good way.

Tom for some reason is growing on me.

Yes, it was very well written, and Tom is the comedy relief, and he’s been a favorite of mine since the second half of Ep 1, when he morphed from dickhead to pitiful shlub.

  13. Because that’s how it usually works (I predicted it in Post 24). Somehow, Kevin escaped it last year, but older players often get the boot early, it’s an easy way to avoid “blood on your hands” too soon.

  14. He’s a big guy, and I just looked it up and he was a tight end, so maybe he’s the all-time TE leader in certain categories, and they left out the qualifier.

Or, he’s a big fucking liar.

  15. Tom is comedy gold. I can’t imagine a real-world equivalent of Shiv who would settle for such a wimp, unless she has consciously or subconsciously decided to pick a mate the exact opposite of dear old dad.

Greg also makes me laugh, and I loved it when he embarked on his painful, humorless, music-free drive with gramps... and the GPS said “12 Hours, 12 Minutes.”  The salvaged cruise documents will surely come into play later, and Greg gonna Gump his way to the CEO job.

The actress playing Willa the Whore was also in Mr. Mercedes, where she played a mousy maybe-autistic character. She looks almost six foot tall in this. And she had one of the best lines of the night to Tom, “At least he’s the only member of the family fucking me!”

The only thing I remembered seeing Jeremy Strong in was the Big Short, in which every single character was fantastic, of course.

I haven’t seen it (need to), but Adam McKay is responsible for both, so it makes sense he uses people he knows and appreciates.

Strong’s Kendall so wants to be The Man, but he can’t get there in his professional or personal life. Even the web content company owner in Ep 1 made him his bitch. I won’t be surprised if he succumbs to his addictions again.
