    dude wearing yoga pants?

Lol. Mirror shot doesn’t do her any favors. But she’s got a nice body and would get it. Other than annoying me with that terrible etiquette.

Yes, exactly.  Very robotic.  To me it's just rare to find one who seems to live in the groove the way the best male drummers do -- Gadd, Katche, Jones, Bonham, etc.

It’s like so many are too focused I playing the notes correctly and not just feeling the vibe and jamming.  Doesn’t matter if you make a mistake here or there as people won’t notice.  Just feel the music and transfer that emotion and energy outward.

Fuck yeah.  Nice work Ldogg.  Love that pick table!

That fucking project took longer than I expected but I like how it came out.  Found a cheap table with a lip. Painted it. Glued down a fuckton of picks and then epoxied it in.

Now i’m trying to figure out how to do the other side table.  May have to build a little frame for the album and epoxy that in and then screw it to the base from below.

  4. JJ.

Good question.  I’ve come across some amazing female percussionists, but by an large there seem to be less.  Maybe it’s partially a preference thing when choosing instruments?  Hell I met one of Beyonce’s drummers at a shop here in Houston and she was amazing.  We talked for a bit and she actually went to school for music and was working towards getting a masters at some point.

One thing I’ve noticed with so many is how robotic they seem to be.  Even that video Buzz posted. That chick can play and she did a great job breaking down a tough song. But man she just doesn’t remotely seem to be enjoying it.

    Probably this.

What should happen is the US get this bid and for the 100th Anniversary Uruguay and Argentina should get it, but it will most likely go back to South Korea again.

FIFA is just a corrupt piece of shit organization.

I wish the Federations would break off and do their own thing again. Some folks want every 2 years, but every 4 years works. Just break off form FIFA.

Argentina doesn't have the stadiums to comply with FIFA requirements for the cup.  There would have to be substantial retro-fitting of current stadiums, and building some new ones, to work and the country is broke.  It's not impossible as they'd do whatever possible to raise the $$, but it's a big stretch right now.

I have a set of GMS for sale.

And maybe some Ludwig’s. The Ludwig’s were played with Albert Collins so I’m kind of partial to them but I don’t need 3 sets complete with hardware, hardware for another set, and cymbals for 4 sets (and then some).

You're a fuckin' addict though.  However, if I had enough space to set up at least 2 kits I'd probably be the same.

I thought howerton was going to be gone regardless and day was going to start doing most of the writing. No?

Trying to find it, but I read some interview with him that he said he'd be back, but only after they did the first run of his new show and saw how it went.  The impression I got was they'd at least do a half season more.  If AP Bio fails then he'd go back and they'd do a full season.  At least that was my takeaway.

  8. Will they ever get around to doing the next season?  I hope this stupid ass AP Bio class fails so they can get back at it quick.

Under the Radar brewery in Houston is doing a trivia night this Wednesday for Sunny, in case anyone is interested.

  9. I'm dating a millenial that is 9 yrs younger than me.  I had to educate her on the greatness of Poison last night on the drive back to Houston from Austin.

Love it.  My first "real" kit was a Pearl Export 5 piece.

I think it was for a lot of people.  It was/is a very solid kit for the price point.   I spent my spring semester of senior year in HS saving $$ from my job at Outback Steakhouse to buy those.  The cymbals I had been collecting for several years and still have(and use) them.  Classic A. Zildjian cymbals that are just perfect.

Also, that top picture was from a show at Blondie's in 1998.  The bottom was from a Christmas show at Fitzgerald's in 1996.

  11. That's a gorgeous kit there.  I've never been able to really play a double floor tom set-up though.   I just can't ever seem to get to the last one properly so it almost never gets used.

Yes it was like an ATeam episode.

My exact thought last night.  These fucks can plink a walker in the head with a revolver from 50yds out without missing.  Hand them an automatic weapon and like 50 people standing out in the open in front of them and they can't hit shit.
