I have family just outside Portland, used to love it up there but too many crackheads these days. If they would all stay in Portland I'd be fine with it, but I guess the supply of whatever they're on is good enough these days they also infest the wilderness areas. Nothing gets the blood flowing like getting up at 6am to hit a hiking trail and less than an hour in some disheveled, pungent forest creature stumbles out of the forest going "bruh, you have a little something to take the edge off? I got a little skrilla" *halfway pulls out two crumpled one dollar bills from a grimy pocket*

Edit- I know crackhead is outdated, but I use it as a general term. Everyone knows what it means.

I feel the odds of interacting with one in the wilderness are less than when walking down the streets of Austin.

There’s also the possibility that the company sells some stock to raise money on a rally.

This is absolutely happening. They just registered a mix-shelf offering last week, I believe. I didn’t look at the potential amount of dilution.

I was talking to a friend about this earlier. If a player enrolls at Texas with an injury or gets injured in his first camp, he’s probably going to get recruited over. Guillette is an exception and probably the baseline talent level that the coaches will wait for.

I’ve been very pleased with the healthy roster churn.

Anything else you want to discuss?

Is there just nothing to talk about or has everyone just stopped giving a fuck about the offseason?

I’ve been incredibly busy and haven’t had time to really keep up and I came here to catch up. Is there going to be any discussion about the actual team, the depth or what to be excited about?

We’ve all been waiting for you to come in and shit all over the coaching staff, again, so we’d have something to discuss.

Sounds like moneyed interests took a calculated risk at the public's expense to get that unseaworthy ship out to sea sooner than it was ready to sail. That's DEI!

So, similar to Exxon Valdez, keep the product flowing.

The interesting thing would be who knew about the previous failures. They are required to report these mechanical failure incidents, which would mean the regulatory authorities would make the decision if current conditions were satisfactory to enter the port.

Having any kind of opinion on this if you’re not a harbor pilot or marine engineer or civil engineer or something is just super stupid.  It’s just this thing that happened, like things do.

Is there anything about these big ships that makes them more likely to lose power at low speed vs cruising? Or just straight up terrible luck?

I’m not sure if it’s still an issue but I believe they had many engine problems when the US first required the switching of fuels inside our waters for air pollution.
