I’ve been completely shocked at how good they are. I much prefer them as a passenger to a human uber driver.
Same here.

So is anything happening with this? Weird how it's just gone quiet.
Maybe there'll be an update in 10 days or so.

Quote"After receiving feedback, schools that show clear alignment and a strong readiness to champion this effort will be invited to the White House to finalize language and be initial signatories," the letter says. "We are aiming to have a signed agreement by no later than November 21, 2025."

No, absolutely not. That's up there with the dumbest snake oil shit I've heard all year.
Don't ever talk to that person again.

Agreed. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian but ended up eating there a bit and everything I ever had was damn good.

I watched it a couple of years ago after seeing the first few episodes of s2 at a film festival shortly before it premiered.
Those episodes were so wtf/ridiculous, especially without having seen s1, that I later watched all of s1 and then the remainder of s2 as it was released.
Giamatti being in s2 is what got me to commit.
Overall it was fun, but like a lot of stuff from Spain they get so hung up on religious-oriented tropes that it becomes tiresome/laughable. I get that it's just their culture, but after watching a lot of their stuff it has started to wear on me.
Fun series and I was bummed they stopped after s2.

If it comes out that he had knowledge and didn't report it, most of that town will defend him because "he's a good Christian man" who was led astray by the debil and Joe Biden, but I repeat myself.

A lyric from James McMurtry's Talkin' at the Texaco comes to mind, "It's a small town, son, and we all support the team."

McMurtry at Continental Club last night. I've attended his shows there fairly regularly for over 20 years now and must admit that I'm glad it's at 10:00 these days instead of midnight like it had been for ages (although the early Gallery shows have always been an excellent alternative).
He played a wide range including a few from his new album and as far back as 1989, closing with a powerful/heavy version of Too Long in the Wasteland and a fun one earlier on from 1995 (Fuller Brush Man).
He still draws a big crowd- we're lucky to have such easy access to his shows.

However, I’m fascinated by my similarly aged friends. It seems like none of them have any thought whatsoever that they won’t make it another 25+ years. They certainly may. Many of them are in very good physical shape. But it’s odd to me that they automatically assume it and just don’t consider any other scenario.
Maybe they do and just don't mention it? I hit a stretch in my late 40s - early 50s where it kinda freaked me the fuck out for a few years as friends started dying more often, getting diagnosed with cancer often, etc. but I mostly kept my concern to myself.
I didn't mention it to friends, but all of a sudden it was on my mind 1000x more often than it ever had been before.

Yep

He probably got rejected by UT and failed out of community college (if it's even possible to fail out of community college). His insecurity is so extreme that it is difficult for a normal person to relate to or even speculate about a cause.

We can only hope. Hasn’t done his weekly “Big 12 ratings suck and the TV contract was a bribe” rant in a minute.
I wondered the same thing recently but my suspicion is that he's just crestfallen that Texas Tech is having a good season and that the "awful" viewership stats he's constantly trumpeting (and falsifying in his posts) still aren't happening.
He's such a fucking insecure miserable loser- it's actually a better look for him to not be constantly shitting all over everything.

God damn it, I stopped watching all variations of this show ~4 years ago but this comment might rope me back into opening it back up. Which flavor is this?

My wife and I went from 2010-2014 and loved it but then life/kids/work commitments got in the way (we are in Dallas so it was also a whole vacation/away from home thing).Totally understand- it's a big time commitment although a great time. I skipped attending until my last year in the industry and have loved every year since then. 🍻

I saw the first three V/H/S movies when they were shown at Fantastic Fest and agree this is one of the better of the series (though that has been somewhat of a low bar yet I will never miss an installment).
How often do you attend Fantastic Fest? If regularly then we should meet up for beers between films one of these years.
