I've done two other workouts since I wrote that; I figured I had better get in the saddle and just spin, even at a low cadence and resistance just to get my legs used to it.  I did 2 "just ride" workouts at a couple of miles each @ 40-50 rpm.  Those didn't tire me out, but the HIIT stuff, even at beginner level, are going to.

Do they have sub-beginner level classes?  Honest question here.  For a beginner level class (Ally Love was the instructor), that was damned hard.  Not enough to scare me away, but shit, just the warmup blasted me.

The Power Zone classes are a pretty good place to start if you don't mind a semi-regimented program. You'll set your levels 1-7 based on your feel/ability and the classes all work off that - for example a 3 out of 7 would be a sustainable but slightly uncomfortable pace. Once you get a baseline all the classes work off those levels and gradually you'll start pushing the numbers up. Matt, Ben, Olivia & Denis run the program - it's something I wish was around when I started.

    Well, I pulled the trigger.

I like walking, but with younger kids, I can't always get out of the house.  And I loathe a treadmill for walking.  And we have had 2 of them since we got married (humblebrag: wife runs half and full marathons, and she destroyed the first treadmill in 5 years or so, and I suspect her current Nordictrak isn't long for this world).

And I've put on too much weight, quite frankly.

So!  Ordered today, delivery scheduled for Wednesday 12th.

Hell yeah - best advice I would give is to ride consistently for the first few weeks at least. Doesn't matter if it's an all-out effort or you're just on it for the credit - just get on the damn bike. Make it a habit and before you know it you'll look forward to the release.

  3. We've come a long way since the Speed days although I do miss Bob Varsha.

And while we're talking a potential Porsche/Audi partnership it would be a mistake not to admire the one and only Turbo Panzer...  One of the most batshit crazy cars ever made at something close to 2000 hp/ton. Granted it was more of a partnership in name than actuality.

We did nothing wrong, but we're having a big old meeting to discuss how to improve all the stuff we did that there was nothing wrong with.

The circumstances surrounding the use of the Safety Car following the incident of driver Nicholas Latifi, and the related communications between the FIA Race Direction team and the Formula 1 teams, have notably generated significant misunderstanding and reactions from Formula 1 teams, drivers and fans, an argument that is currently tarnishing the image of the Championship and the due celebration of the first Drivers' World Championship title won by Max Verstappen and the eighth consecutive Constructors' World Championship title won by Mercedes.

Misunderstandings? That's what tarnished the championship? That's so rich.

Yeah, that one will get cleared up pretty quickly I bet.

I have been a YTTV user since just about the beginning and mostly love it. It knows when it’s time to watch F1!

It's pretty great - I wouldn't complain much if it didn't use to cost me 40$ a month. Fuck

They have these spats with multiple providers throughout the year. They'll spam you with "OMG Disney is the devil and charging us too much! Complain to them for us!" and then Disney will spam "OMG YouTube TV is the devil and demanding too much! Complain to them for us!" and then the spam stops, Disney never goes away, and we carry on until the next spat.

Followed closely by a 12$ price hike for the finger painting channel.

    Slight correction.

The aero covers are designated as OSC (open source components), which means that their design specification and IP must be available to everyone though a common server.

Is this still the case? Wood's question had me looking at the regs and I couldn't find anywhere that expressly required the use of the covers until...

17.5.7 The use of a PDC is mandatory and the particular function of that PDC must not be by-passed, replaced or complemented by another component.

On the Ferrari, they have an open front wheel. I think I know the answer to this, but I'm not sure: Are the covers mandated for all 4 wheels, or is it up to the teams to decide how to employ them?

As close as I could find.

« 3.13.7 > Only one wheel cover per wheel should be rigidly attached to the rim so that it has the same rotational speed as the wheel to which it is attached and forms an aerodynamic seal to the rim. »

« In order to provide visual information to spectators, the FIA may require that each of the four hubcaps described in article 3.13.7 be fitted with a rotating LED display panel.. »

    They look pretty terrible imo.

I told people to stfu when they said dishonest and/or patently idiotic bullshit. Not when they came with a serious, genuine argument or comment grounded in reality.

And that one Southpark pic got under your skin? And you call it weak? LOL. That's weak. There are million memes out there along those lines, and I posted one. You couldn't hang at all on some other boards. Lewis is getting a free ride here compared to a couple of bords I know.

What's funny is you never said shit about shit until Lewis came under fire here.

Keep those boards to yourself bud, whatever you wanna do in private is alright by me.

I said more than my share on the old Shag thread - It was a lot harder being a Lewis fan back then. The truth of it is I stopped smoking last month and I'm fucking bored so here we are again.

When Hamilton retires, I’ll bump Lando up. I started following him when he was in F2. I hope the pressure and shitty last 5 races or so don’t get to him. He’s a damn good driver.

I’ll still be a Merc fan. The way the operate is awesome to me. With Russel being there, I’ll pull for him as well.

He's pretty damn funny on Twitch too. Would love to see him get to the top.
