Chris Beard makes $5 million per season

Buzz was making $4.6 million per season

So they are going to have to offer more than $5m for Beard, and they couldn't or wouldn't even fire Joni Taylor for a measly $1m buyout.

They ain't got the money.  Ole Miss will match any offer - he just took them to the Sweet 16

beard has a big buyout too I think $4.5 million

    Fill in the blank:

Steve Sarkisian, Sean Miller, and Jim Schlossnagle is a top ____ trio of coaches in major college athletics.

I am way more impressed with what Del has been able to do with the women's sports and as icing on that cake he shoved plodsky in some cubical or janitors closet and told her to stay there

"Oh fuck yeah they have Hostess mini muffins here???"

    There are?

Barbour at Penn State and Cohen at Washington are about the only two that come to mind. There isn't a top 15ish athletic program run by a woman but that's not to say a woman can't have success in that role. It would be a major anomaly though.

they are not top 15 for sure, but they have funding that is about top 98 and they started football from scratch not that long ago in terms of NCAA D1-A programs

their basketball sucks, but they play in a shit facility.....their football does pretty damn well all things considered and so does their baseball......she has also convinced The City of San Antonio to invest in facilities for them at least two times and they get a pretty good deal on using The Alamodome

Not much downside to stepping in there.

yea he basically gets most of a season "free" to evaluate players and to try different rotations and to make a case for players to stay.....if he gets any kind of results at all it is a big positive and even if he does about the same he still has the knowledge of things and it has to beat sitting around waiting for it to fall apart even worse than it has now

“After waiting for several hours, I was finally allowed to see him,” recollects Del Conte. “I walked into his office and said ‘Hi, I’m Chris Del Conte from Texas Christian University’ and DeLoss looked up from his desk and replied, ‘Nice to meet you Del!’ I figured if I was successful in persuading him to vote for us, he’d eventually figure out what my name actually was.”

he is back ready to Reckling things at Rice

I wish him great success and have no ill will towards him he was just not the right fit for Texas, but at the time he was about the best option there was. Even when he was let go it was slim pickings to replace him and most likely if Del did not already have Schloss locked down Pierce might have been kept for another year. It is just a lot harder to find top baseball coaches these days that will accept the pressure of a job like Texas and that are proven somewhere else.

I am sad things did not work out for Cruz Jr. and I hope if he wants to continue to coach he takes a position job somewhere and keeps building on that, but Rice needed to do something and Pierce was there why burn a season when you can make a move and try and salvage something especially in a sport where you get in the tournament for winning the conference

They really don’t like Buzz’s brand of ball or his coaching

How do you beat the “little brother” allegations when they beat us in everything?

Even their men’s basketball team, projected before this game to barely make an NIT, bounces a 2-3 seed.

    Fuck our administration

I want contact details of everyone that signs up. Time to scam, grift and get paid.

I watched a youtuber talk about this a bit ago.....he basically said these days people are begging to be scammed and all of these young dumb asses look at it like "it is just my parents money".....really he is right they are all so desperate to be able to say "they were there when it all started" they will just hand over massive amounts of money knowing there is a 95% chance they will get fucked
