Regardless of the coach, would they have enough support to be top 10 in soccer on a consistent basis?  Our facility is ad hoc.  We hardly ever fill it up.  Most students don’t care about soccer.   It occupies a space as an afterthought.  So why would one of the best coaches come here?   Coin? Sure.  But they can make the same coin where they are.

What!? Women's sports in Austin TX..Any good women's coach will be able to recruit at the highest of levels. You have to win. Consistently. Find the right leader. wSoccer is a sleeping giant here. Parking issues will never go away but crowd size/enthusiasm will not determine success of the program.

UConn loses their best player for the year and they still just keep rolling. Maybe one day our program can get there.

Wait, what! Why the self pity?

This is coach's 3rd season right, played in one of the worst cbb venues to sell, producing a conf title & 2 Elite 8's. His teams have proven to be at their peak come March. Recruiting is just getting going for Coach.

If Alabama fans tossed in the towel on Nick Saban, in his third college HC try, after his 1st season they'd have missed out. Give Sark 5 years to get his guys in there. That .500 record isn't as important now as to what's going on behind the scenes.

Nick was never weak and searching for who he is as a leader. In our time, that is what we've seen from Sark. Let's see how he finishes the year.

15.5 is a lot of points against a solid defense. Even if Texas plays well and controls the game, Iowa State could still score a garbage TD late to lose by 14 or something.

Ton of points vs. an experienced & very good defense that owned Sark last year and a team that is confident after beating us 3 straight. I'll be happy with any W and a healthy team after this game.

How Texas plays in this game will define the trajectory of our program imo. If we play down to the level of the inferior competition, then nothing would have changed and we would be back to square one. If, on the other hand, we come out with fire in our belly and blow them out, then it would probably mean the beginning of a turnaround.

Has Ketch or Nahlin voiced why Card should start this week?

Yeah when you say 1K total is that for turntable, receiver and speakers?

For beginners I always recommend the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. I think you can get it for around $500 or so. It’s a great turntable that can be upgraded down the line.

That obviously doesn’t leave you as much for receiver/speakers but you could upgrade those later.

Appreciate the feedback and it makes sense. Any recs on receiver/speaker's for a solid-beginner setup?

How old is the kid and what kind of setup are you thinking?  You want just something basic/inexpensive that can help them get into the hobby, or something that may cost a bit more that they can eventually upgrade, etc?

    15. I'd say under 1K total setup. By what I've read, this could go in a number of directions but I'd like to target "reliability" if that is achievable. Open to any and all feedback, thanks in advance.
