  1. The announcer says, "He's looked poised the last two weeks. He didn't make any major mistakes in a 34-27 victory"
  2. Texas IS still alive for the tourney. All they need to do is win the conference tournament (a la NC State, "Survive and Advance") Not going to hold my breath, and for the first time in many years, not sure I would want that, in that we need a new coach, and that would cloud the picture for the administration. If up to me, I am ready to call it a year and skip the NIT and find a winner for next year.
  3. I must be a few years older than you, so would have to include Johnnie Johnson in that list at CB. Two-time "consensus All-American", and chosen by Downtown Athletic Club as nation's best DB in 1978 (before there was a Thorpe award), first round draft pick, College FB HOF, etc. Mossy Cade and Jerry Gray in the same backfield was legendary. Nobody went deep or scored from a distance. Gray ran down Bo Jackson from behind.
  4. And here is a Sports Illustrated article about his uncle, Sam Nader PhD, felt by many to be the guiding force to LSU's football successes: https://www.si.com/college/2019/12/05/lsu-football-sam-nader Paul's brother.
  5. Matt's not a doctor, but a medical device rep for a company that makes defibrillators and implantable pacemakers. I know his parents very well (Dr Barbara Bergin - Orthopedic Surgeon, and Dr Paul Nader, Nephrologist), and I have met him on several occasions. Great kid now man. His story fits this situation perfectly, and still brings chills, how his mom was watching from the stands when he keeled over and fell, how she and Paul started CPR, and how Justin Tucker's dad (cardiologist Paul Tucker) used the brand-new sideline defibrillator that absolutely saved his life. Here is a Statesman recent article. https://www.statesman.com/picture-gallery/news/2023/01/04/westlake-high-school-football-matt-nader-austin-texas-longhorns/10989088002/
