Yeah, I think this shit is done, and as much as it hurts, I think it’s the best thing players can do to deliver a firm message. Really sucks for the end of the roster guys who are trying to pay bills... hope the league, owners or players like LBJ step up and take care of them.

We’re about to see how true Juvenal’s words ring... with the circuses closing down, and the bread running out, perhaps the people will awaken to their plight and fight for social justice once more.

  2. there is still money on the sidelines but it has to be just waiting for a correction/crash, so most money going into the market is headed to AAMGF

I’m the guy sitting on cash after moving a bunch of things around. My guy at Morgan wants to begin staggered entry in big cuts at the next 10% correction, but I’m weighing sitting the whole thing out until next year. It feels like we’re headed for a shitstorm and I like the feel of my umbrella...

Realize I’m missing out on a good amount of profits, but I want to be in a good position when/if this blows up. Am I crazy?
  3. umm......they had a better record than PHX.   That is what tiebreakers are for.    Did you want the reg season pre-bubble to not matter?     Do you really think they would have done better than POR against the Lakers?

I wanted it to matter more than the league, because they gift wrapped wins for PDX in the bubble. Did you watch any of those games? The foul disparity, and Dame’s ability to garner FTs off absolutely nothing, were hilarious.

It seemed clear to me that the league wanted Dame in there because he’s a star.

I think Phoenix, with the run they were on, could have challenged anyone. They likely wouldn’t have taken out the Lakers, but it would have made for a much better series IMO.
  4. Damn.  It must be fucked.   Missed 10 games last time he was pulled for knee soreness after warmups.  I know Rick said this is "dissimilar" to that injury but I'm not buying it.  See a lot of people saying he's "soft" but you can't risk major knee injury.  This isn't like Luka's ankle where multiple doctors said it's solely a pain tolerance issue and no risk of further damage. I'm sure KP is as frustrated as anyone.

Yeah, it fucking sucks, but no one expected this team to win it all this year, so focus on long term health. If we fuck around and get there anyway, we’ll great... KP will likely be ready to go!

  5. Nothing is ever her responsibility, everything is someone else's fault. She's never saved any money, and she's resentful of her place in life. She can't even seem to bother the last several years to get on state disability for some reason. When my parents move on or can't take care of her anymore, there's going to be some hard decisions to make in regards to her. I have my own family, and a son. I'm not interested in her living with us. Even if my parents leave some money behind, she's in no position to manage it responsibly or in any way to make it last. And those decision and burdens will be passed to me. So I feel your situation man.

We’re in the same spot with my now sister-in-law. She barely even speaks to her parents and blames them for every aspect of her life. Can’t/won’t work, requires the highest standard of care, fights doctors on facts/treatment and didn’t even bother to show up to our wedding.

We’re actively working with her folks to put a plan in place for her and have someone manage it, cause she would burn through the cash in a year otherwise. If that doesn’t work, I’m gonna have some harsh words and then wish her well, cause she sure as shit isn’t living under my roof with the way she’s treated her family.

  6. Blanton’s is always a good score. I’ve heard  horror stories from locals about waiting in line for 3 hours at Buffalo Trace and not getting a bottle.

That might be enough to swear me off bourbon entirely...
  7. Luka is incredible, but he's nowhere near the two-way player that Kawhi or Giannis are.

But, there are guys that are so good on offense that their defense doesn't matter that much and they're still MVP level. Steve Nash is the first example I can think of. Luka's trajectory is in that direction. He's unreal. I hate that he's on the Mavericks, just like I hated Dirk being on the Mavericks, because they're hard to hate.

Is Luka a lockdown defender or sporting an 8’ wingspan? No, but he pulls down a hell of a lot of defensive rebounds... Steve Nash wasn’t putting up triple doubles on the reg. Am I ready to crown Luka the greatest ever or even the best in the league at the moment? Hell no, but he’s special, and there’s hardly anyone that comps to his particular style of play, past or present.

The two he was breathing the same air as tonight, The Big O and Barkley, are perhaps the closest IMO, but I’d also say that he’s better than the latter.

  8. I sure think it’s good, but it’s pretty unique. Feel free to send me your bottle if it doesn’t work for you.

It’s really good... very unique mouthfeel and that nose is something. Enticing like a gypsy whore, in that every sniff pre-poke is lovely, but she keeps you guessing all the way through.
  9. Tried to warn ya on the Old Tub... makes me sad given the number of lists it was on when it was “Kentucky Only”.

Wonder if they changed (read: fucked up) the recipe when they decided to go wide, or if it was always this way and nobody noticed because it was such a rarity...
