  1. Mich State made everything in the second half and played lock down D. Tough to stay with that.

I feel like this is being overlooked... a good number of their shots in the second half were just stupid. When those are going in, it’s hard to keep your cool and not feel pressured. Especially when it’s essentially the same squad on the floor the entire night...
  2. Surprised there wasn’t a thread covering all things sammich (at least that I could find) and, as I went on an expedition of sorts yesterday, I figured I’d kick things off.

Drove up to Philly for the day to dive into Cheesesteaks. We skipped the two most obvious tourist traps and instead tried a bunch of local favorites:

    - Woodrow's
    - Jim's
    - Ishkabibble's
    - John's Roast Pork
    - Cosmi's Deli

Though Woodrow’s is a newer (hipster) joint, their meat/cheese ratio was insanely good and, if not for Cosmi’s making a near perfect sandwich, it would have taken the day:

I’ve determined that Jim’s is only good when drunk, and we were sadly sober so it sucked (no pics). We opted for a chicken steak at Ish’s and we’re damn happy for it:

We’re gonna absolutely have to come back for the roast pork sandwiches at John’s, but this day was about cheesesteak and theirs was solid. Toasted sesame bun did not disappoint:

    Perfection at Cosmi’s:

  3. Hmmm W12 is out. I might poke around for a handle. I know that sounds snobbish, but I haven't put much of a dent in my stash from last year.
    Obligatory post: Antique is better.

In all fairness, they’re both better when blended together. :)
  4. Absolutely solid - Can easily put it in the Top 10, primarily based on complexity, forward heat with a silky smooth burn that tapers off after a 5 count. Really, really good and I can see why it took top honors last year.

  5. Bought a bottle of Boss Hog to celebrate a buddy's wedding... mother of God. BTW I've seen it on the secondary market for double that price.

That good, eh? If I was into flipping I’d go back and pick them both up. I don’t know much about Boss Hog, but apparently someone intimately involved recently passed and this bottling was in his honor.
