  1. So, I got a little antsy and figured I should search one more store... that was the right decision:

Today was a good day. Also, they had this beast wrapped up in a coffin-shaped box, but at $400 I couldn’t pull the trigger:

  2. You can’t sit him for Cohen.

Normally I’d agree, but the logic goes like this:

Zeke’s only other single-digit game this year has come against a division opponent on the road. I figure Philly is gonna skull fuck us, so we’ll get behind early and his touches will come down.

Additionally, Cohen is due for a bounce back game and I like Detroit giving up points on the road.

I’m probably wrong, but the ‘Boys are realllll shitty.

  3. Pic didn’t come thru for me but if it’s the same as the new purple label BMH then $27 is too much.

It’s more like the old ish... very solid bottle IMO. Would have gone back to buy more last night but this was their last in the store.
  4. Another day, another bottle...

Hoping this gets me through the Tech game.

Also got to try this yesterday for the first time. Apparently it’s Black Maple Hill in a different bottle and, at $27, you absolutely cannot complain.

  5.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 1910 is sold out in Houston. You have to give the Brown-Forman folks credit, they know how to market the heck out of their products. I'd beg for a sample, and if it's good go ahead and buy them out.
What kind of Michter is that in the upper left hand corner?
I'd grab a bottle of IW Harper 15 if it's around retail, $63.

Small Batch 1753 - US-1 on the Michters... hadn’t seen that bottle before either.

  6. Ok, so I had the new Forester Birthday Bourbon and the 1920 last night. They were both solid, but the Birthday is a standout... smooth as silk and bold while not remotely overpowering. Imagine if you combined the softer qualities of Basil with the robust flavor of Weller 12. A damn fine bottle to be sure!

In other news, I recently discovered one hell of a liquor store here in MD, and it’s come fully equipped with a number of methods to help forget last night’s abortion of a football game. The 1910 is where I’ll begin...
