Nothing will fuck up your golf game faster. I'm self taught and was shooting in the low to mid eighties in less than 2 years after picking up the game in '08. I used to go play Clay/Kizer after work as well when they were offering the Range Grinder for 50 bucks a month. Had my first kid in '13 and haven't played more than 4 times a year since.
Yep. We had a baby nurse for about two weeks when my first kid was born. I wasn't needed so I played four times in those two weeks. That was more than I played in the next five years.
It's gets better after your youngest is 4 or 5. -

The Saturday before Easter I put a brisket on around 11:00 am. Temp was holding well around 260. I had a 1:30 tee time and returned home around 6:45 and the temp had barely moved. As usual, the brisket was excellent. I love my sapphire.

Hope there is room for rifles. 1952 Winchester Model 70, BAR and a Custom Montana
My Dad has the BAR in 30-06 as well. Nice rifle. I killed several deer with it hunting with him in the 70's. Sadly, I may be getting it soon. -

I might be the only person to say this, but I hated watching him play. In part, that’s because as a hardcore Astros fan since before the Big Red Machine, I hated Cincy in general. But Rose came across as a special sort of douche. He seemed to think you got style points for making a routine play look way harder than it was. He’d dive for fly balls that didn’t require it, then flop around like a clubbed chicken to complete the show. And he’d mastered the whole hair thing long before Harper was even born.
I’m sure not saying Rose wasn’t a highly accomplished player. Anyone can see he was. Ridiculous hit numbers. But the gambling revelation didn’t even make me blink. He’d seemed like a tool all along.
This. I never liked to watch him play for those reasons. -

I thought that fire was in 1979.
I thought it was Woodway Square. -
Other than his talent, and maybe that's enough for most, why all the Tiger love? I always heard from the guys that had connections to the tour and the pros that Tiger was a dick. He was notorious for tipping like a teenager even after he made big money--which was like his third month as a pro.

so did the augusta national folks cook spieth’s brisket? if so there’s a good chance it was shit.
I think they did. Probably used liquid smoke. -
I would be flying Aaron Franklin out to Augusta and showing them what real barbeque tastes like.
I'd try it, but I recall hearing somewhere that they will serve what you want, but the club has to cook it. If that's the case it would probably be a NY strip steak. Cocktails and good wine would be just as important. -
Prince in the Frank Erwin Center and TOOL in Beaumont are my numbers 2 and 3.
I saw Prince before he was mainstream at the Summit in the early 80's. He was outstanding. -
Make your own dough. It's not hard. Make it the day before and let it slowly rise in the fridge. Alton Brown did a show on it.
Get a pizza stone and get your oven as hot as it can get.

I got matched up with two octogenarians several years ago at Morris Williams. One of the old guys shit his pants on the 10th hole and played the entire back nine covered in his shit. COVERED. Like, the back of his khakis from the butthole to the shoes were no longer khaki.
You win. -
Jordan closed with three birdies.
They are down wind, but those are not easy holes. -
... we'll be on the beach earning 20%.

Has to be at the Falls in New Ulm in the early 90's coming back from a guys weekend in Austin. I was hungover, it was extremely windy and I wasn't playing much (just had a baby) and I probably shot a 105. That was my last round for about 5 years.

anyone see anything in Houston this week?
Went to Specs last Saturday and they said every store was out of Weller 12. They said it was all gone in about 3 hours. I'm sure they were holding some for their special customers. Went to several liquor stores in west Houston and their W12s were sold or already spoken for. Didn't see anything special.

This. His wife had issues and IIRC she killed herself. I've never heard anything bad about Freddie.
