you know, i just don't have it in me to enjoy these public comeuppances. the whole thing just sucks. he probably has employees, customers, kids, other family whose lives have been negatively impacted to varying degrees by his actions and ignorance.
and it is SO ignorant, him even saying he doesn't understand. my god, man! some of these people, their world is so insular that they are shocked at the righteous public outrage they incur...but I continue to be amazed at their surprise, like, wtf did you THINK would happen?
i just don't understand.
i wish in some of these cases there could be follow up...did this experience change any of these people? did they learn anything from it? do they now realize that no, they are not in the majority with their POV and maybe the world really doesn't agree with me?
there's got to be something good to come from all this loud, ugly thrashing
i enjoy them a shit ton. as a latino, i've experienced racist people. you can't change them, but now with these shaming videos you can fuck them up.
who cares if they lose their livelihood, that's on them. that's the only way they'll learn.
they won't stop being racist, but at least maybe next time they'll know to keep their goddamned mouths shut

Neptune in Boston is a must.
Maine is fucking awesome. We took an Uber out to the Lobster Shack REstaurant by that lighthouse.

My manager and coworkers are flying in tonight and i need dinner recommendations. Something nice and Texas/Austin centric but not too fancy like a steakhouse. Downtown or Arboretum area are fine.

Some of our fans' relationship with Malik has been aggy like. He comes in as a hero around Malikmas. He plays okay for a freshman and the hype is still there even though he missed a shit-ton of tackles. Thinking was, once he learned to wrap up, he'd be worthy of #60. Soph year sucks -- injuries and playing out of position by necessity. Then his coach gets fired. Jefferson plays a little better and we are all high on him again, at least until he declares. Now of all a sudden we are rooting for him to fall in the draft so we can say "I told you so."
none of us are rooting for him or connor to fall. in fact, it would have been great if they went first round as that could be used in recruiting. i think we're all in agreement that they made a bad choice and should have come back for their senior year

A diva? Seriously? There's definitely questions about how much he actually likes football but Malik seems like a pretty solid dude.
i like malik and connor, but yeah skipping your one fucking bowl game in your entire career is pretty diva-ish

I’m selling my 20x42 Klose smoker. Bought it in 2011 and recently repainted. It has the two row pullout shelves, stainless steel ash pan, and 2 inch ball valve drain. I’m in the Houston area.

Since everyone on shaggy makes a million a year and only bangs 10s, maybe you can tell me what I should budget for an engagement ring. Is it still 2 months salary?
in your case, twice of whatever you paid for her flight from norway

my first post on Surly... my wife is pretty awesome, have never posted anything that she's done on previous thread on shaggy but there's a first time for everything.
she's a teacher, and they have their own retirement plan and i have a 401k. we talk about retirement plans etc often.
she mentions they have some additional retirement plan at work, and i'm thinking it's a 403b or something for teachers. she starts telling me about it, and it sounds like a whole life insurance plan. i ask her repeatedly if it's a life insurance plan, she keeps telling me no it's a retirement plan. she signs up for it, $150 a month, and two weeks later she brings home the paperwork.
right there on the cover page "Whole Life Insurance". she's canceling it today but we're out that $150 and maybe another $150 if they don't cancel it before the next withdrawal.
FUCKING HELL
