i guess i'm in the minority but i think Williams is going to be very good.

Me, too. Unless, wait....are we all supposed to be doing a bit here?

Boston is for sure going to win the series and most likely this game, but they haven't faced any adversity whatsoever this year.  In general, you want your team to learn those lessons in the regular season but they were so busy beating the crap out of everybody that you just don't know how they are going to respond.

Also replying 17 minutes later with the Heat up 9 with a minute left to tell you Boston probably won't win

I disagree with your take here.

What we DON'T know is the timing of things. What happened before the President turned the military on the citizens? What happened before a third term became an option?

The war-time rhetoric, claiming victory, propogandizing - none of that is indicative of a political lean of a side, or the right/wrong position. It's just part of war.  That was the point.

The viewer doesn't know what side is in the right or part of a particular political view.  That was the point of the way the film was made.

I don't see where CTC mentioned anything about political sides in his post. The president was very clearly conveyed as a dictator who had usurped too much power.  Sammy (the older reporter) literally compares the president to other overthrown dictators.

The portrayal of the president as a despot at the end of his reign is one of the ways the film avoids politicizing why the country is at war.

  4. I was curious because that video got me thinking more about the "why" of different grind settings.  Before I stumbled onto this thread I ignorantly followed the general guidelines I'd heard (which also are apparently wrong) without a second thought. After upgrading my gear (Kalita Wave, new grinder) I grinded beans in the medium range (6-8) for pour over. Didn't like the results so I went back to my French Press. But after watching that video I tried the finest grind setting and it was a game changer. I've been using the Kalita Wave the last few months. Picked up a Hario Switch this week so I'll be experimenting with that.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I knew. Hilarious that I used to think my $20 blade grinder, French press, and Starbucks beans qualified me as coffee snob.

I mean, it’s a fine hire, but the guy here and what I’ve seen elsewhere act like he’s John Wooden reincarnated, and that UK got “owned” or something. No way UK has any interest in this resume. What am I missing?

If every social media post shared here isn't a bit, I'm also confused.

    i think that's about right.

only thing i would add is i personally would pick this technique over french press or pour over, but it could be a matter of preference.

the equipment you need is only $30 (plus filter paper, which isn't expensive).

as i think about it, maybe better to start with french press, and then this would be something else to try next.  *shrug*

Is the zero setting on his hand grinder the finest possible grind setting?

  7. What a BOMBSHELL. We now have irrefutable proof that Tony didn't die, thanks to a Knicks recruiting pitch video from 2010.
