Jackson Christian's film is pretty good and he had a damn near dominating performance at a camp last summer at Texas. They offered him early and stuck with their eval, I have no problem with that.
He looks more athletic and more lengthy than Cole Hutson, even though they are similar in their disposition and playstyle.
And he probably wont transfer early so a good depth piece until he's ready.

was hoping Tyler Thomas would be included in this class but it feels like he's on the outside looking in now
Seems like we're ok with that.

Seems like a low probability of success take, but probably a low amount risked to it. Catalon Part Deux. If the guy is somehow back to early career stages in terms of health, awesome. If not, well, he's a body for some snaps, I guess.
He's a good take either way. Plus it takes from OU.

Nick Cannon is a brilliant actor. You should easily be able to understand the scene with just a look at that face.

The handler thought it was going to be one way, but it was the other.
Still guessing OU but they just may not have the money. If they win on the deal, they have depleted the war chest for softball or gymnastics and they’ve discovered more competition in both arenas than originally forecast. That shit matters. This will be interesting. @Js1

FWIW, Taaffe was the only player on the team that gave his gloves away after the spring game. Or at least he was the only one who did it as he was exiting to the tunnel
We are turning into a true crime website

I'm going to wild ass guess Alfred Collins because he doesn't like all DT portals we are looking to bring in.
The guy who the coaches had speak to the media a few days ago?

Me too. We're deeper at Buck, and I'd rather Gullette see snaps at Buck than Walton at Sam.
Walton may end up being great, but the fact that I'd almost forgotten about him kinda sums up how often he's mentioned in practice reports.
I think Gullette to buck isnt gonna happen. We are deep there and recruiting well. Think of Gullette like Ant Hill. A versatile athlete who can do multiple things.

Just judging from his Jr. season highlights, he appears to have more potential than any TE recruit we've had in a long time, even Sanders. He looks to be on a different level. You need glasses

Agreed - but to steer this conversation in a productive direction, who do y'all think will be in the 2-deep by the end of Spring? Leaving potential incoming transfers out of it for now.
Alfred Collins is a lock to start.
Then there's Savea, Broughton, Aaron Bryant, Bledsoe, Mitchell, Swanson, and January. I think Swanson and Mitchell are prime portal candidates, and January is a true freshman, so I doubt any of them are realistically making the cut.
Out of the remaining guys, I think Savea is the other starter. They've been talking him up all Spring and said he's the best at anchoring against the run. Broughton is the veteran and the staff seems to like him fine. Personally I'm down on Broughton - he gets pushed around too much. But he seems likely to make the 2-deep.
That leaves Bledsoe and Bryant, and I think Bledsoe probably gets the nod. But in all honesty, I'd rather see Broughton split snaps with Bryant and see if he can develop. I think we've seen Broughton's ceiling and it's pretty low.
To recap:
- 1st team - Collins and Savea
- 2nd team - Bledsoe and Broughton (Bryant)
- 3rd team - January and Bryant (Broughton)
Bledsoe will be paired with a NT and expect VB and Collins will be paired together mostly.

Gerry just brought up an interesting point I didn't immediately catch.....Baker is also working pass rush with the edges. Wonder if PK will be focused more macro level of defense and not so much edges like years past?
PK is still working with the edges a good bit but he seems to be able to hand him off for a few periods here and there. Baker has experience coaching the whole group too.
