  1. Sorry chief, you google Anthony Cook Texas Longhorns, this is what comes up top of the list on google courtesy of Wikipedia. Anthony Cook Height: 6′ 3″ Weight: 192 lbs Current team: Texas Longhorns football (#11 / Defensive back) Sorry I saw the info I was looking for an went with it.
  2. Hell after the shafting that Jimbo is giving him, I hope for his sake that Calzada transfers out.
  3. Excuse me then...6'1" 191 lbs according to Texassports as opposed to his wikipedia page which was the 1st result that came up. So he is still 20lbs lighter than Perkins which was more my point. If Perkins has the ability to do it and wants to do it fine. Semantics aside, it just sounds wierd to have a 210 lb nickel back, but PK's defense isn't the most traditional in many ways so if that's what Perk wants and will get him to sign then do it.
  4. I get that, but how often do we actually blitz with Cook? Usually he is in coverage? Like I said, I am not even going to claim a cursory level of knowledge of PK's D yet, so I am not exactly speaking from any form of knowledge base here.
  5. So we're planning on playing the 6'2" 210 lb lineback at the same position as our 6'3" 193 lb nickel back? I fully admit to not understanding PK's defense remotely yet.....but I would think Perkins would do better at Brocks spot or even Overshown's where you apparently get to clean up everything.
  6. So does no one have Luicci's rambling odyssey on what happened against MSU and how the ag are going to pull one out against bama?
  7. Their running back use makes me think Herman is a consultant...... I really don't get why in the 4th quarter of their games Spiller is suddenly stuck on the sidelines...I get it, Achane is more of a homerun threat, but Spiller is much better at getting tough yards.
  8. The sad thing regarding Calzada is that there are things he does well.....he just has an arrogant leprechaun calling plays that won't tailor the offense to his strengths or minimize his weaknesses. Instead Jimbo just leaves him out there twisting in the wind trying to run an offense that he isn't equipped to. I mean, if we could have a halfway functional offense(hey it was better than what they are currently rolling out in the station) with Case McCoy, Tyronne Swoopes, or Jerrod Heard while being coached by such offensive stalwarts as Shawn Watson, Jay Norvell, Joe Wickline(lol), and Tom Herman.....an offensive genius like the leprechaun should have no worries.
  9. Nah I enjoyed beating pat at his own brand of football. But once their D was gased midway through the 3rd and our D was making them earn it. That 12 point lead was pretty dang safe.
  10. Damn near got beat? The game wasn't seriously in doubt since midway through the 3rd quarter. Short of us self distructing, the game was well in hand. I support going for it in 3rd and 4th and goal.
  11. They fit their mo. Good pass d. Bad against the run. Stout inside the 10. As a great coach once said "Ol ugly is better than ol nothing."
  12. Defense needs to come out and put their foot on fat pat's throat.
  13. BS. The qb falls on his butt right before he gets hit and its a penalty.....
  14. Well I can say that about most things---burgers, deconstructed drinks, reimagined food, whatever crap the new york times tried to put in guacamole, New Mexico Enchiladas, fresh mex in general.......
  15. Now wait a dang minute....what in the wide wide wide world of sports is wrong with Meatloaf, Chicken and dumplings, and canned green beans? Del Monte makes some dang good green beans...just stay away from the french cut ones and remember to add some canola oil to the pot.
  16. I ate a ton of Wolf Brand Chilli Frito pies when I baching it, so no chilli snobbery from me!
  17. Major project seems a bit hyperbole for a player that many knowledgeable recruitniks on here considered 2nd only to Ewers as a QB prospect a few short months ago and vastly superior to the other TX QBs
  18. Murphy isn't even top 300? I mean I know he is a project....but that surprises me.
  19. " And we didn't tackle well. They hit the big plays. I think they only had seven plays but 212 yards. Hit one 85-yarder for a touchdown. And had three scoring drives and got up 17-0 there. Defense made one nice stop right before we had a two-minute drive on the fourth and 1 when it was right there at the thing. We gave them up.......... And then we punt and that's where I say we've got to -- defensively, even though we didn't give up a point defensively, we did a really good job in the second half, but we still gave up drives. And when we had them pinned back, second and 10, third and 10, we got them inside the 20, 25-yard line two or three time, we could have won some field position battles."
  20. Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 -I'm not reactionary! Your reactionary!
  21. So what.....Recruits, CTJ, and Golfclap are now like Texas High School coaches who get their feelings hurt when Texas goes out of state for better talent?? Seriously? You two have cried for years for Texas to be more national in it's recruiting. Sark is doing that and suddenly it's a negative? Ya'll flip flop worse than NBA players...
