  1. If this does happen somebody needs to put urbans face on Kurt russel in Tombstone.

"You tell em I'm coming and hells coming with me."

Will check that out maybe. I love eating Tex Mex. gringos is another chain that I think is really good.
me stanning for those 3 chains specifically isn’t saying that nowhere else could conceivably be better- just that they are all great. Thanks for the recommendation. Will check it out.

Chuys is fun I won't deny. Papas has just never worked for me.

Mostly I just don't see the point in chain Mexican food places when every small town has some hole in the wall Mexican joint and the vast majority of them are dang good.  That isn't even considering all the greasy dives that populate large towns.

Chuys is great. Pappasitos fajitas with the dipping lard are amazing. Anyone hating on either of those places just sort of sucks at life.
can you find better here or there?
sure. But I’ve never not enjoyed a meal at either of those places or been with anyone that had a bad time/meal there.

If you have never had fajitas at Guadalajara del Centro in downtown Houston you are missing out.  They also make some queso Blanco that is just this side of heaven.

    Mi Tierra fucking blows.

Thats harsh.  Is it touristy?  Yes.  Blows? No.

That would be Bill Millers BBQ or Papasitos.

Love me some Pappadeaux, Pappas steakhouse, Yia Yia Mary's, and even Pappas burger.....but the Mexican and BBQ joints are about even with something Fertita would own....

Well yeah, it’s Austin. Not the best place for Tex Mex. Enchiladas y Mas crushed every Tex mex spot in Austin. But chuys ain’t shit in Houston. Many better Tex mex joints.

El Arroyo was good until Clay sold it....

La Fogata in San Antonio is the bomb though.

  6. We are onto BBQ now?

Kruetz in Lockhart has been great forever.

Franklin's is good...but there is too much good BBQ to wait in line

Snows again good but overhyped.  Its dang good BBQ but nothing is worth some of the waits some of these idiots wait for.

Louie Millers is exceptional especially when they have 44 farms brisket.

Southside BBQ in Elgin is divine especially if you like sausage and ribs

Coopers in Llano was still dang good last time I had it

Zekes in the booming metropolis of Windthorst makes some very good BBQ

Giddings meat market is good especially if you get the Chicken

None of the Mikeska joints have ever impressed me

    County line is gross.

    Blacks is ok...

Smittys was decent the one time I ate there

    Killens is good

Mt Zion Baptist church in Huntsville cooked some good meat at one time.

Goode Co, Pappas, central Texas, Bill Millers are all garbage.

IF we get Meyer, Herman is gone.  But if not Urban Meyer, what coach you gonna bring in that justifies your almost $16 million buyout?  I think it' a legitimate question.  What if Sam and a few other guys want to come back and finish things off right?  Would that figure into the decision making?  Would that be a good or bad thing, for recruiting and team dynamics?

Too bad the flashes of brilliance were overshadowed by stupidity and penalties.

It's a question of simple accounting........What do you want to see happen to the donations and season ticket sales next year if Herman is here.  Plus, consider the in general depressing effect such a cloud over the football program would have on every other athletic programs donations and enthusiasm......

Luke Fickel(as an example) would not generate the buzz of Meyer nor reinvigorate the program to the same level, but there are plenty of people that would jump right back on the train for next season if Fickel was hired that will not do so if Herman is still here.

Last thing we need is to fire Herman with no replacement lined up like what happened with Mack in 2013. The coaching search and public rejection from Jim Mora was total circus.

I'm still of the belief that Urban wants this shit kept quiet until Tom is let go.

    I don't entirely disagree....

But to be the devils advocate.....We fired Mackovic before we hired Mack.........That was actually my most enjoyable/least stressful coaching search....

It is mind bottling to me that anyone at this juncture wouldn't want Herman gone. How any rational observer could see the on & off field product he is putting out and think "Yep, let's run this shit back" is beyond me.

Literal text I got today.  He's not a BMD by any means but he is connected to a lot of people...... I am obviously of a different opinion......I will give him credit though....he was right that we should have hired James Franklin instead of Charlie.

"not a fan of this move . I like Herman . He took over a depleted program and I think has done a decent job. Part of the reason to get rid of him is the issue of the players and the eyes of Texas issue . Cancel culture strikes again ."

We're 100% painted into a corner. Tom knows he is a dead man walking. If UM says no, we aren't going to buyout Herman and insert another up and comer. That means Herman stays at a place where his employer tried to oust him and he has lost support of the fanbase. It would be an awkward situation at that point.

There has been absolutely no hedging by people that actually know things.  Herman is gone regardless of who his replacement is.

Would have to be for money because at best Florida-to-Texas is a lateral move and is probably a downgrade given recent state of Texas and the Big 12 Conference.  My guess is Mullen's simply working on a raise from UF.

Or not having to go through Bama and Georgia has appeal.

Its nice that Texas has him 'under consideration' - he's my favorite plan B - but is he actually considering Texas?

It's not getting out that he is plan B if he isn't considering it.

Conspiracy ass dudes Texas hasn’t made a good hire in how long? I’m born and raised in Austin. I saw Ricky break the record in college station. Texas isn’t Texas rn. Changes will be made.

Pretty pathetic when floating the name of a turd like Fischer is keeping the BMDumbasses in line

It would work on Surly in heartbeat.

If CDC came on here and said stop posting or I hire Jeff Fisher instead of Meyer this board thread would go silent.
