  1. I had a bad hemmoroid once.  I thought I had sharted myself at work but no such luck as it turned out to be the hemmy which had busted.  I had to wear a panty liner for a couple of days to keep the blood from soaking through my pants.

I had a similar experience but it turned out to be cancer.
  2. Ran over a chipmunk yesterday and damned near cried over it, sucks getting old and emotional.

We were duck hunting in whatever shithole in Arkansas gets all the ducks and one guy scored a zero. We’re driving home that evening, tried and buzzed, and we’re giving him some shit. He’s driving on some country road and a fucking beaver waddles out in front of the car and, thunk, thunk. “Told you all I’d get one,” he says as we drive on.

  3. You don’t have to convince Cletus.  You just have to convince old school Republicans who voted “against Hillary” but who are disgusted with Trump.

I don’t think anyone is “disgusted” with Trump. Some people don’t like him but he’s doing a pretty good job as POTUS, settling the NK question and all.
  4. i've had the unfortunately pleasure of visiting indiana, twice.  on those two trips, i could not stop hearing about tenderloin sammiches.  i ate one.

conclusion.  indiana people are fucking idiots.  and tenderloin sammiches are not worthy of the idiotic praise.  it's a fucking fried sandwich.

    You prejudiced against fried sandwiches?
  5. Then just walk outside your front door and enjoy concrete as far as the eye can see. Or look out a plane window and realize how few unbroken pieces of wilderness remain. Or try to go for a hike and be unable to escape trash, regardless of how far from civilization you are. The fact that people can be unconcerned about the effect 7 billion of us can have on the place we live is so odd to me. Even if you don't personally give a shit about nature or the environment, I would think you would want to leave something worthwhile for those who are going to be here after us. Things have already changed significantly during my lifetime, I can't imagine what it will be like a couple generations from now.

When I look out a plane window, I’m usually more in awe about how much land is relatively untouched by humans. We tend to cluster in urban areas and leave the majority of nature to nature.
  6. Had my first yearly scans for stage 3 rectal cancer at MDAnderson. Colonoscopy, ct of abdomen and pelvis and blood work. All negative. Surgery site looks pristine, no masses in the abdomen and blood work normal. One down, four more to go (you’re as close to cured as possible after five years).
