If what you say is true, then TCU should continue to have more success than Texas. Is it your assertion that TCU will have a better record than Texas next year?

Regular season records don't interest me. I do think that a Dykes coached team will make the playoffs (even the expanded playoffs) again before a Sark coached team makes it once.

I’ll explain it more slowly: if you want consistent results, you’re more likely to achieve this with a process.

Dykes (with his focus on the portal) has a better process than Sark (who is using a process that hasn't adapted to the changes in college football). No amount of evidence will convince you, I know.

How much crow are you going to eat when Sark gets fired finally? Or are you just going to pretend you never made these posts or quit the website.

He doesn't care about results. He cares about the process. He is like an aggie. In his mind, our signing-day victories mean more than Baylor winning the conference or TCU playing for a national title.

It’s worth noting that you think this guy with this record is going to kill it every year but Sarkisian is a dead man walking.

For any coach that stays with Texas for 3+ years, if they can win 1 national title, I would call that a success. If they can get to a national title game, I am whelmed. If Sark accomplishes what Dykes has accomplished at TCU, I will tip my cap and admit I was wrong. Unfortunately, I am more likely to win the Mega Millions than for Sark to get to a title game, process be damned.

I don’t agree that one year of lightning in a bottle is a worthwhile goal.

We’ll see if you’re right about Sarkisian but I think you’re definitely wrong about desirable trajectories.

You seem to value process over results. I don't.

What’s your O/U on TCU wins next season?

No idea. Regardless, if they go winless, they are still ahead of us. Sark could be a coach for 5 lifetimes and he isn't taking us to a national title game.

People forget quickly the shit show that Sark inherited and had to dig out of.

Baylor went from 2 wins to conference Champs. TCU went from 5 wins to the national title game. This has all happened during Sark's tenure and those coaches had lesser players.

no one is winning consistently at the Bama / Georgia level

We've won one national title in the last 52 years. I think we are a lot more likely to win our next title as a "one off" (like TCU is trying to do this year) than to think we will become Bama. My goodness, I hope I am wrong, and Sark turns us in to a dynasty. Still, Bama and Ohio State added starters at key line positions this past season via the portal. I think that will only increase from the top programs in the coming years. I really think things have drastically changed and that Sark is adapting slower than other "blue blood" programs.

You think dykes has built a staff and is building a roster that will win 10 games a year for the next 10 years? That’s what sark is attempting,

I was just listening to the Andy Staples Podcast while I worked out. Ari Wasserman said TCU brought in 13 new guys from the transfer portal in the off-season. CFB has changed. Dykes is embracing this change. Sark is not.

Also hilarious to see our resident moron saying Amen to an article treating the police affidavit as fact days after trying to argue no one has ever done that in this entire thread.

I said Amen to his knock on people blaming cancel culture. Beard should have been fired the day he was charged with Felony Strangulation. Every fucktard on this board who says we have to investigate and take time and get all the "facts" likely had to go to Tech. No one else could be so stupid.

It will be a shame, and an unnecessary black eye, if the Longhorns restore Beard to his head coaching position and pretend this all never happened. It’s not about being canceled or his becoming a victim of the woke agenda — words of idiots who lack the vocabulary to suggest anything more clever while wishing we could all close our eyes and go back to 1954.

Yep. Few documents are less reliable than a police report, which is why it’s hilarious to see so many people in this thread take the arrest affidavit as fact.

I've seen 3 kinds of posters in this thread:

1.) The people who think (as per his contract) he should be fired just for the felony arrest.
2.) The people who think beard acted in self-defense.
3.) The people who want him retained no matter what happened.

I have read every page and haven't seen anyone assert that they know the entirety of the arrest affidavit is factually correct. What goes on in your mind is God's own private mystery.

Gerry Hamilton had a stat in one of the IT YouTube shows that the Washington QB Penix has only been sacked 5 times all season in 500 pass attempts. Just keep that in mind tonight when we get frustrated because our defense can’t get him on the ground.

Screw that noise. Justice Finkley is going to karate kick Penix to sleep.

Who gives a fuck what the cancel culture crowd says.

Stop with this nonsense. There wasn't a room full of social justice warriors sitting around, twisting their moustaches, just waiting for Beard to bite & strangle his fiancée so they could pounce.

It really seems like the powers that be are keeping Beard. It is no secret that I am not a fan of this decision, however, I am now hoping that there is no photographic evidence that is damning. If there are picture of bite marks and/or neck marks, and they come out after the press conference where CDC announces he is keeping Beard, all of the "optics don't matter" crowd will learn quickly and decisively that they do matter.

Nothing like a Baylor fan coming in here to play the high-horse card. Beard is going through some shit but as far as we know he didn't cover up an institution-wide rape scandal

Or cover up one of our players murdering the other

When a university doesn't address a scandal the right way, it gets brought up for years and years. Sometimes, for generations. I hope our university leadership doesn't drop us down to the same level as Baylor and ou.
