  1. Some bottles are only released at the distillery. But just cruising through Kentucky on a random day you're not going to get lucky with that. You should still go just to see them. I've been to Four Roses and Buffalo Trace before. Have a trip in a few weeks to Maker's Mark and will probably hit up another one then as well.

  2. Drink was called a Louisville slugger. Bourbon, apple brandy, chicory and smoked vanilla. It was great.

I don't go to Compère Lapin enough. The food has been spectacular every time. Just wish there was more bar seating. I usually just end up at Peche for a random weeknight meal while there on business, since more likely to get a seat at bar.

Got invited to participate at Houston BBQ Festival on April 15th. Pretty excited about this development. Here's a sneak peek at one of the dishes we'll be serving out there. One of my favorite dishes off my lunch menu is the pork belly banh mi. Decided to present that at the festival, and have reduced it down to one bite.

I'll likely also have a brisket station where I'm slicing on the fly. You should buy tickets and come see me. www.houbbq.com

That looks like a great bite of food.

  4. I've had these awhile, but don't think I ever posted on the old website.

I emailed Sinn customer service about them after I picked them up.

Watches are from 1980 with no spare parts or other information available.  Watches were produced as part of a "small edition" and have a handwinding Lemania 6100 movement.

I need to do the same. Official shaggy watch sales thread?

Same here.  Maybe just start a devoted watch sales thread in the sales forum?  No need for everyone to start a new one each time?

Did a lighting uprgrade to my bar today.  But all it makes me want to do is buy more bourbon to fill the spot where the glasses are.  My wife thinks I’m crazy but at least she doesn’t bitch when I buy a new bottle.

This is a good reminder I need to perform some spring cleaning and reorganize the collection.  Last week I downsized the non-whiskey by about 40 bottles of really obscure/random stuff I haven't used in years.  That's going to a good friend who is currently devoting an entire floor of a home he's building to his bar.

The whiskey isn't being downsized, just organized.
