Want to head to a day or overnight trip to Mt. Fuji. Is it possible in a day or should we stay a night near there. I heard it’s a beautiful area.

will for sure be hitting street food…any thoughts on that and seafood if you’ve got them. Thank you!

For street food, we had good luck going to places with a crowd.

Recommending seafood is tough because there are a million options. I'd recommend looking for places close to where you will be, instead of traveling long distances to the restaurant.

Tokyo to Mt Fuji and back to Tokyo, assuming you are not climbing, is doable in one day. It'll be a long day but it's possible.

You can also stop at Mt Fuji on the way to Kyoto/Osaka and then continue to Kyoto/Osaka. You won't have to backtrack with that plan.

If you want to spend the night in the Mt Fuji area, I highly recommend staying at a hot springs inn (onsen) in the Hakone area. The area is beautiful (as you were told), the hot springs and inns are cool and it's a great detour. Seeing Mt Fuji is nice but the Hakone area was much more fun and enjoyable for us.

  2. Stopped at Xpress Burger by Annaville on the way into town and it's great. Bun was great, meat was great and overall flavor was excellent.

It's inside a gas station with a few tables.

Headed out in a month. Ten nights. Flying in and out of Tokyo.

    Current thoughts:

    Tokyo 3 nights

    Kyoto 3 nights

    Osaka 2 nights

    Tokyo 2 more nights

Too much Tokyo? I don’t mind staying longer in three or two cities instead of four…and I also don’t wan to try and “see everything” in my first visit.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

Not too much time in Tokyo.

Figure out what kind of experience you want in Tokyo. It's such as huge city with so much to see, you can do almost anything.

Do you want museums and temples? Alley bars and street food? Catch your fish restaurants and parasite museum?

i've been on semaglutide for almost a year and have lost 25 pounds. initially, my biggest issue was constipation. i am very regular and always had a BM in the morning. at first i would go 2-3 days wihtout a bowel movement which sucked. i've since gone back to being regular. i pay $180 for a refill that lasts about 10 weeks

my a1c numbers went from 5.7 to 5.2 within 3 months, and sugar levels from 126 to 73. my blood pressure is now 120/80.

for me it's been great, but i don't plan on being on it for much longer. i'd like to be able to eat more than a handful of food once in a while. it sucks smoking a bad ass brisket only to be able to eat one small slice

Where do you get the semaglutide from?

Fool Me Once is terrible. You should all watch it.

The lead is gorgeous but the close-ups don’t do her any favors. She’s all Botox and fillers and makeup. Still hot.

Fool Me Once is beyond terrible.

It's the kind of show where every character has to make bone headed decisions every 5 mins. The show relies on everyone keeps secrets from each other.

And all of twists are easy to figure out.

Show would have been much better if it was just the grumpy detective and his gay sidekick solving crimes.

    An example of the stupidity:

    Spoiler

The main character believes that her handgun was used to kill her sister. So she goes to a shooting range with the gun and saves the cartridge. She gets her friend to compare the cartridge from the murder with the shooting range cartridge. They match! So now she knows her husband used the handgun to kill her sister.

So what does she do? She uses the same handgun to kill her husband. Which of course leads the police to believe that she's the main suspect. Why use the same handgun to kill your husband and obviously link the two crimes together and make yourself the lead suspect?

Anybody watch the three-part documentary "Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God"? A buddy watched is last week and said it was pretty wild so we fired it up this weekend and blew through it. My ex-wife believed/s in some of the same shit and even went on a spiritual retreat to Mt Shasta back in 2018 when this group was there. I don't my ex was a direct follower of Mother God, mostly because of the substantial use of drugs/booze by Mother God. At any rate, it's a breezy 3-hour trip.

About time we had a cult leader who manipulates cult members into sex (where the cult leader is female and the members are male). Finally some cult abuse equality!

This is another one I gave up on after less than an episode.  I’m utterly exhausted by the govt conspiracy genre.

That's on purpose. The govt conspiracy is working effectively.

  8. This film may have had the most sex and nudity in a film that was so boring. A rare combination.

During the non-naked parts, I started day dreaming about organizing the garage.

  9. Went back to Artipasta restaurant location and had another great meal.

One of the specials was a gnooci with a spicy njuda sauce.

  10. And the eminent domain idea is dead.

    https://www.texastribune.org/2023/12/05/texas-fairfield-lake-state-park-eminent-domain-developer/

    Quote

A Freestone County judge then appointed a panel of local landowners to set a fair market value for the property as part of the eminent domain process. The state could have taken immediate possession of the property if it agreed to pay that amount, but it balked at the panel’s price — $418.3 million, about four times more than what Todd Interests paid for the land a few months ago.

The state, which had argued that the value of the property was $85 million, could have appealed that decision and triggered a civil trial but instead decided to cease efforts to take the property. The Parks and Wildlife Department also said it doesn’t intend to make future attempts to seize any portion of the property, including water rights.

  11. May December thoughts:  Very, very good film. Lead actor and actresses are really good. Story is very interesting. The film can inspire tenseness and awkwardness. Not a mainstream type of film. Expect to feel strange/weird while watching.
