Did the Nuggets have a bench of young guys that just weren’t working out? It feels like every maxed out team in the NBA has a bench full of 3 and D veterans on league minimum deals.

Yes. Lots of young guys on the bench.

I wonder how the Nuggets will do post Malone?

If the new GM can actually build some bench depth, I think the new coach can do well.  But the shit ass bench the Nuggets have just doesn't cut it in the NBA.

    I was wrong.

Denver (now losers of 4 in a row) will not be a tough out in the playoffs.

As always, they are completely dependent on Jamal Murray.  As he goes, so goes the team.  He's been out the last 5 games.  I do not have high expectations for the playoffs, but if Jamal can get healthy in time they are still a tough out.

  4. That's why it's a young man's sport mostly.  As the drivers age, they start to think about things like that.  I think it's a big part of Checo's downfall.
    Danny, too.

This season feels lazy and mailed in or something.

"The kids are upset widowed parent is seeing someone new." Like really? Thats the A story?  Disappointing so far.

BJ in a wheelchair isnt funny at all.

The family group hug scene is a good example of this sloppy "make it up as we go" feel. Watch McBride at the end.he just starts making funny faces. He appeared to break character after a take and it somehow made it into the show.

This show ran out of ideas.

That last episode was fucking hilarious.  BJ in the wheelchair is funny because BJ is an afterthought for all these terrible people, including his own wife. So when he can't just do his own thing, he's being left out of pictures and unable to apply sunscreen because he dropped it.

The 69 scene had me rolling.

Yeah, I would not get any other shots with the shingles vax. That one fucked me up all by itself. I was so sick for about  12 hours. The "If I died right now, I'd be just fine with it" kind of sick.

I didn't have any reaction other than a sore arm for a few days, but my wife said it was the second shot that really fucked her up, so I guess I'll find out in a couple of months.

You don't think about shingles until you hit middle age and realize just how bad it can fuck you up.

Both my parents have gotten it.  I'm not fucking around with that shit.  I was going to go measles/shingles but the pharmacist said it was a bad idea since a lot of people have reactions to both.  So measles coming up in a week or so. Not that worried about tetanus, but I'll get it eventually.

Well, shit, at 58 I guess I better get re-vaccinated.

Yeah, I just turned 50.  There are 4 vaccines my doc wants me to get. I already got the first shingles (first of 2 shots) and the pneumonia vaccine (1 time, not annual).  Still need to get measles and tetanus.

Been planning to post here but then always forgot to actually snap a pic to post.  These are my collection -- 1994 Bronco, 2007 GX470, 2022 Bronco.

I've had the older Bronco for almost 25yrs and plan to let my son drive it when he turns 16 this summer.

Not often you see an unmolested GX of that vintage.  All of the ones up here have been lifted and turned into offroaders/overlanders.

  10. In SGA's defense, his on/off numbers  aren't THAT far removed from Jokic. Currently +12.2 to Jokic's +17.7. OKC would be a pretty meh, very limited team without him.
But the best player in the world is having his best season ever. C'mon now.
17.7 is 45% better than 12.2. That's close in your mind?

Usually the first person who buys it hot is told do NOT take it to the dealer.  Well when THAT person sells it, they usually don't say shit and some poor shmuck takes it back to the dealer and they run the serial on every one they service.  If it pops up stolen they keep it and that bastard loses all his money.  That's what happened here, and it's not uncommon at all per the cops and AD.

Nice.  Good thing you kept the box and papers!

Got a couple new ones now, but yes...keep the beater RR in Chicago.  Lessons learned.

Was an RM and they found it 2 years later, lol.  Chubb lets you buy it back at auction and I picked it off for dirt cheap since I'm the only one with box and papers.  They also let you keep entire amount they paid you out on.  Better to be lucky than good...

Where the fuck did they find it?

  13. Well, let's just change it to the Most Impressive Stats (MIS) category, then.  If these two team were close, then I'd go Jokic.  Denver is a distant 3rd and literally 16 games behind OKC.
    Lol.
  14. I don't know, SGA is having a statistical season for a guard on par with anything MJ and Kobe ever did and leads Jokic's team by literally almost 16 games in the standings.
They are 2-2 head to head. SGA has a much better supporting cast, though.

I'm gonna let this one marinate over the weekend as a multi-part post/response, just to see what ideas y'all come up with that I haven't considered.

I don't drive my S6 any longer and hate that I've sorta lost interest in the car, with a boatload of OEM RS and aftermarket parts sitting in the garage to get silly with.  Since the original turbos haven't been lifted it yet, I thought this might be the right time to list it on Bring-a-Trailer, as a couple other similarly-modded cars sold well on the site lately.  The proceeds will go toward a fun, perhaps smaller car.

My 'daily' is a Rivian R1T, so I have the utility part figured out. It's a quad-motor, 835hp unit, and is kind of silly on the street too.

I'm looking for ideas on something fun I'll want to keep in the garage for a while. Requirements as follows:

    • New or used.  If preowned, prefer a modern powertrain with direct injection that's tune-able
    • Budget of $75-$80k
    • Manual transmission only
    • GT, sports coupe or roadster format
    • Offers some form of open-air driving
    • RWD or AWD
    • Something that feels 'special' to have in the garage, that makes you look forward to free time for a drive

At first, only two cars came to mind, both with V8s, but that has since changed completely.  Let's see what you'd pick.

Open air driving in Colorado?  Why? You can only do that 3 months a year.
