    nine inch nails

    alice in chains

    metallica

basically all of the rap/hip hop i listen to (ugk, dj screw, clipse/pusha t, j. cole, childish gambino, 2pac, biggie, nas, etc.)

  2. And what are the parameters? Studio? Freestyle? That could change things drastically. Bun’s bars on Murder are some of the best for TX studio, IMO. But when you consider (and read about) the SUC freestyle culture, the “no notebooks” approach, then think that Lil Keke’s flows were actually slowed down from their original format, that argument could be made as well.

Had a draft hemperor with my breakfast at Choice City in Ft Collins a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it. The aroma was tremendous.

i had quite a few pints of lagunitas super critical last august at neighborhood bar in san diego.  hemperor was good, but super critical was superb.  hemperor had more nose on it, but not as much flavor, super critical had a good amount of the smell, but the taste was really great.

HEB was open tonight and I ran across some Sucaba and Parabola...in a locked case. WTF? No workers to be found except those busy checking people out so I guess I'll try again later. They also had about 100 Bishop's Barrel 20's in there so not sure who is in charge of it, but they seem like an idiot.

Locking up $20 bombers doesn’t make sense, but I get the 12 Oz bottles. People will swap out bottles in 6 packs for cheaper one. I know this from buying a couple of 4/6 packs in the past where I got the cheap bottles in the expensive carrier, while someone else apparently got the opposite.

No prolly about it, burns and simon just meshed a bunch of different stories and community figures together for the characters and plot lines. The book that came out this year about the show is a great behind the scenes look into it all.

    what book is that?

  6. good reminder.  going to have to give that a third time through.  also, i highly recommend the book it was based on, "homicide: a year in the killing streets".

I used Dr. Kansas with the urology team in round rock off 620. Not painful. Offered Xanax before. Recovery was uncomfortable as expected but didn’t seem like it took long.

    Xanax? Or Valium?

Trotter did mine at Midtown Urology on 35th and Lamar.  He's an Austin guy early 40's or so -- you probably have some mutual friends if you've been around town for a while.  very easy both procedure and recovery.  a little strange having a friend of a bunch of guys you know do it but he's very professional and made it a nonevent.

did mine as well, super easy.  i echo scheduling for a good sports event - i did mine the thursday morning of the masters a few years back.  streaming the morning rounds through ipad app/apple tv then afternoon broadcast was perfect.

  10. I switched from Imgur to imgbb and that works fine. No mobile app though, so you have to manage it through a browser.

Cant wait to be able to contribute to this thread. I have a 1973 Bronco with a 302, 2 barrel, 3 on the tree. It’s lifted 3” with slightly larger tires, but still original wheels and hubcaps. Uncut fenders. I’m hopibg it’s just a cracked head gasket but coolant is getting in and causing a substantial amount of smoke, took it to the shop for some work yesterday. Damn thing just made me sad gathering dust in the garage. Hope to have it back and operational soon.

On a related note, has anyone ever built a hoist to hold a hard top in their garage? Would like to ideally use a light duty wench to operate it - I had heavy duty blocking done between the studs during a remodel for this but haven’t done it yet. Any advice/experience would be appreciated as I want to take the top off (at least seasonally), but I don’t have anywhere to store it except pulled up to the ceiling.

  11. For some reason, I dug up The Wrens - Meadowlands and have been wearing that out lately. I guess I have an affinity for mid-90s to early 2000s indie and Britpop that has a lot of “build up” during the songs (some favorites being early Gomez, Grandaddy, Wrens).

Last 10 albums on my Spotify have some range, though (excluding my kids listening to the old Annie soundtrack):

    The Wrens - Meadowlands

The Hold Steady - Stay Positive

Tela - Piece of Mind (was in the mood for some old Suave House rap)

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Live At The Roxy

    Goodie Mob - Soul Food

POLICA - Give You The Ghost

    Interpol - Antics

    Beck - Sea Change

    Nas- God’s Son

    Metallica - Ride The Lightning
