I love Don Artemio for dinner but would not go back for lunch. My lunch there was 3 tiny tacos (very good) with no sides for $20. For something comparable, Maria's does a much better lunch (fancy Mexican food)

Why does this movie never come on anymore? It used to be on constant rotation. Hollywood payback to Mel Gibson?

Fred's has lots more space, heard good things about it. We went to JD's last weekend. It gets busy, but food and service is great

Our 8 year old did La Junta last summer. Great experience. They are currently doing a travel tour to major cities in Texas. Provides a good intro. Will be in Ft Worth this Sunday.

Spent last weekend in the Quarter. Finally went to Casamentos. No frills dive with great gumbo. Walked by La Petite and wanted to eat there. Shrimp and Grits at the Columns are great. Antoine's was a last minute book and worst meal of the trip, got seated in the cafeteria out back with a coked up waiter

If a guy kept bragging in every stump speech how I kissed his ass, I probably wouldn't mention him either. Actually I would, but probably about what he could shove up it

Beto was easily the best democratic candidate in a generation. He raised more money than wheels. He had the best motivating policy decision (overturning roe v Wade) ever. He still posted the same numbers as a lesbian mexican sheriff who didn't raise a dime. I like Beto, but this shows the battle the dems face in Texas

Anyone been to Mi Cocula on Camp Bowie, in the old Texas Grill spot next to Party Warehouse?
Went there about 6 months ago. Food was good. It is not one of my favorites, but I would recommend it

DC is Hollywood for the ugly people

Went to West Side Cafe today and was not impressed. Chicken fried steak was pre breaded and frozen. French fries were frozen. Clientele looked inbred. My younger son said at least the gravy was good

I still have that old 4X Weaver scope that my g-father used for decades. Finally replaced with a modern scope
I'm partial to the 4x weaver because that's what granddaddy always used. It is the scope i still have on a couple of my rifles

Until he was President, I doubt he had any pull with Saudis.
His pull with the Saudis was selling gaudy gilded crap in NYC that they would pay top dollar for, they have the same taste

Not me, I have a Remington 870 I use for trap.
Old 870 is my go to field gun and used it a lot for trap. The best skeet shooter I ever knew used an 1100 and loved smoking those guys with their fancy doubles

I don't want to derail the this thread at all, but I do have a quick question that I guess this is the best place to ask.... Any recommendations for a good 12 or 20 ga shotgun that can do double duty as a target (mostly trap/skeet) and as a dove/pheasant gun? I'm open to semi-auto or O/U and am hoping to keep it under $1500 (or $1000) if possible.
I would look for a good used Winchester 101. I have a skeet/skeet and full/mod. Both 20 ga that serves most trap/skeet and dove/upland hunting. Really like the skeet/skeet for quail or close in dove. Should be able to find for around $1000-$1200

Growth in Texas goes both ways. Tarrant County is a perfect example. Suburban Morons elect a nut job in the primary. Beto should get same numbers as against Cruz, but he does have a chance if the constellations align

The timing of the small town swing may be good. It shows he is working his butt off in a traditional dead period when his opponent is a no show. I think he will do a whirlwind statewide tour before Election Day to remind those people he is there and Wheels is not. The Collin county numbers show where he has a real opportunity though

I want to put up an ancillary sign in the yards of those that have back the blue signs (maybe with an asterisk that says except for Capitol Police on Jan 6 or the FBI at Mar a Lago)

We live 5 minutes from there (Ridgmar). Great neighborhood. Roy Pope really wants to build that neighborhood vibe. You are convenient to everything and would recommend
