Mickey's hot mustard at Wild Acre. Made with ghost peppers. Ask for it on anything

An impossible movie to make, IMO, as it is the greatest work of fiction in the Western canon and actors don't have the skills to translate such depth and transcendence. IMO.
There is a reason why BM and A Confederacy of Dunces have never been made.
My CSB. Tommy Lee Jones (an intermittent family friend) tried writing a screenplay for Blood Meridian. An impossible task, I agree, especially for an actor tackling his first script. With his usual hubris, Tommy Lee thought he was up to the task, and he truly loved the book. The script remains a work in progress.

To echo what Bevo said, talk to your breeder. Tell them what you are looking for and they will guide you. Responsible breeders also don't want dogs coming back or going to bad matches, so they will work to pair their dogs properly.

My GSP will be 12 next month, he calmed down around 7. I will say the are versatile, and ours adapted very well to our young kids and became a great family dog. I talked with the Breeder when I got him and deliberately chose the non alpha male. He was still very active the first couple of years.

Railhead has great ribs. Solid, reliable, meaty. Thursday rib special is a deal at $10.

I'd play with Trump and talk or jingle change during his backswing and walk all over his line on the green. I think I'd also pull a Connery Bond thing from GOLDFINGER and bust him for playing the wrong ball.
If someone could photoshop Trumps head on Goldfingers body would be awesome, with some minion as Odd Job

Drove by Grumps at noon and place was packed. Also, J's Casa Burger was shut down?

Woodshed does usually have a douchebag special, but has the best service of any Tim Love restaurant I have been to, and a good atmosphere

Yeah she needs to burn those steaks and pour ketchup over them to please Trump's poorly formed palate

I have one pair of Tecovas, nine pair of Lucchese. I like my Tecovas, but will keep buying Lucchese.

I'm really enjoying this show.
Did Paramount just not bother marketing it? The only thing I've seen is a billboard that was so bland I didn't give it a second thought. Only reason I watched the show was because of this thread.
csb/ I was invited to a party at Evans' Beverly Hills house a year or so after The Kid Stays in the Picture. Buddy of mine worked for Sirius and they had just given him some kind of radio show, so they threw a party. When we were walking up to the front door Jack Nicholson walked out and lit a cigarette. He looked up and said "Fucking rain" (just started sprinkling) then flicked his cigarette and walked right back in behind us.
It was cool poking around the house I saw in the movie. Evans was swarmed with people so never got to speak to him, unforunately. Only odd thing I recall was Dick Van Patten giving the primary speech about Evans, how great he is, yadda yadda. I thought, Could there be a more polar opposite personality to Evans, the dad from Eight is Enough?
Apparently they've been very close friends for some time. Go figure.

Read The Kid Stays in the Picture. Van Patten was quite the poon hound in his early years.

I bought a pair of alligator Lucchese boots 20 years ago. Now as I am older, my feet are wider and the boots can't be stretched anymore. Went to the Lucchese store at The Domain last week and got sized for the right width. Did not have the color ostrich I wanted, so they got another store to ship to my house. Fed ex arrived next day. Very happy with the new boots and the customer service.
So what are you doing with the old boots, and what size are they ?

Yes there is so much material for them to mine in the evangelical grifter vein that could go 30 seasons, and really great character potential as well

Dinner at Las Brisas I highly recommend. Chalk Sound is a nice "off the beaten path" area. We are going this summer and can provide updates after that

Finally got fried chicken from Drew's. Damn good. Not like any fried chicken chain. Tastes like home cooked fried chicken your grandma made, if she really knows how to fry chicken.

We bought a Japanese maple tree from these folks, they delivered, planted, and suggested how to care for it in the first growing season. Enjoyed doing business with them and would recommend if this is something you have given consideration to.
I also recommend Metro Maples. Great resource and it is fun just to look around their lot.

Has anyone tried Azulados? I'm looking for a pair of ranch boots that can take a beating. Something cheap but durable

Pretty shocked (guess I shouldn't be) that Tim O'Hare trounced Betsy Price in the R primary for Tarrant County judge. O'Hare is toxic - he pushed a lot of anti-Hispanic measures as mayor of Farmers Branch, and when he ultimately failed there he moved to Southlake and reinvented himself as founder of the PAC that caused all the issues for Carroll ISD there (well documented in the 'Southlake' podcast). He sent out mailers touting his support of Trump and painting Price as a flaming liberal (which is far from the truth) - and it clearly worked. Given his support in Colleyville/Southlake/etc I doubt his D challenger will be able to beat him despite her support in Fort Worth.
This is a dangerous sign. A solid/real/rational conservative (Betsy Price) is trounced by a party activist who plays out the CRT tropes and fellates Trump and Cruz. None of his issues are the purvey of the county judge, but he doesn't care. He has no clue how to govern

i still to this day would like to know how one grabs pussy. I mean, I've seen some meaty lips in my day, but even then there wasn't much to 'grab'.
You forget how tiny his hands are, I'm sure Stormy'a lips were quite a load for him to handle

Fixed 4x Weaver?
257 Roberts is a great whitetail round. Mine does have a 4x Weaver. I'm old school, but prefer the old weaver or leupold fixed scopes. Trying to find a 6x leupold now for my Browning 06

The GOP ballot propositions have always been a pathetic attempt to curry favor with the crazies and party activists. Surprised there was not a proposal to honor the "patriotic heroes" who went on a field trip to the Capitol on Jan 6.

Chicken Fried Steak
in Food and Travel
Posted
While I love George's and Sammy, never thought their chicken fried steak was great, preferred the gizzards. Griff's is great, huge slab of meat, always fresh, perfectly battered. I usually did greens as a side to balance the onion rings
