  1. yep, so true. I live along the Gulf Coast of AL and we see that to a lot lesser extent. Mostly when we hit the sandbars around Orange Beach...nothng like the low country though.
  2. yeah, the tide changes dramatically in that part of the state, you need a boat that will float in less than 12". I have 24' SH and it drafts less than 2', the 17' will float in very shallow water.
  3. Could be anecdotal, but I rent a car every week of the year through National. I work/travel anywhere from Dallas, LAX (vacation), ATL, SLC (for Ski trip), Dulles, Reagan, Sarasota and Ft. Myers...havent had any issues. I was in Charlottesville VA last week, no issues. I typically reserve business trips a week to 10 days out, but vacation rentals months in advance. As an aside, my ride-fly-logde set up is National, Delta, Marriott. 95% of my travel miles, points etc...is with these 3.
  4. Im digging CDC, I'd chase him off a waterfall.
  5. I agree with this. I know Moore has been solid but I think ultimately, that lineup above will be the one
  6. Quan Cosby comes to mind, maybe Ramonce Taylor. Ramonce played RB at times , lined up out wide, played slot and returned kicks. He was as close to Metcalf as we have had in a long time.
  7. Better than getting 8" the other way
  8. no halftime (well 5 minutes) and a running clock in the 2nd half. Mid-way through Q2 the announcers said ESPN was fooled and they mandated the no halftime and running clock deal
  9. Good point. I wonder what the mascot would be? A picture of the local baker, maybe a city councilman or school teacher. The Marlin Marlins...our school team masot is a valued member of our community
  10. I can’t speak for 10 & 12 in LA, but I just drove to the PNS airport from Baldwin County and it was eerily light. Normally at 8am central this time of year (late summer) , 10 is pretty pretty busy east and west bound. Obviously with little traffic coming east out of LA and MS , very easy drive. delta hasn’t missed a beat this whole weekend PNS to ATL.
  11. You are out of your league here. Do you live in a Hurricane prone area? Projected a week ago ? Did you not see Sally a year ago do a duck hook east? You can’t project with certainty a week out AND make forced evacuation declarations based on a week out.
  12. Historic building collapses on S Rampart. Will post link
  13. No bueno as of now. As some have said however, we'll know more once it gets north of the Yucutan.
  14. St George in for a long day/night, though Panama City will get the worst of it.
  15. 1990 called (from a land line) and wants their font back.
  16. Yeah all that and he's a Grapevine Mustang, Dallas area kid and big Horn fan. Well I made the last part up, but I he probably is
  17. Yeah, I was in Port Charlotte last week on business and got soaked pretty good. The locals at the hotel in Punta Gorda were telling me you have been drenched a lot lately.
  18. IMO...Good news is its running at 16mph, that is really cooking. I look at the forward moving speed a lot with these systems. By Monday afternoon, the storm will all be but gone from the island at that speed and by Tuesday (based on the current path) you should have beach weather. Once it hits land, the back side will be breaking up and you should be fine, and of course at 16mph, it will move through rather quickly. Any movement east and you are golden. I live along gulf coast, so i watch them pretty close. We will know a lot more on this one after it passes Cuba/Dominica area
  19. Bump for the latest Invest...Fred is on deck...We'll know a hell of a lot more Friday on this one
  20. Case was no face jock but he put the herp derp on the sheep lovers. They all don’t have to be Marty cherry just win baby.
  21. well he did say 12 rows back, from the idiot, so he likely was buried in economy. Now if he would have said 'from up front there was a commotion 25 rows behind us...' we may have ourselves a humblebrag...hehehehe
