  1. Gen X. We were bitter growing up because of our narcissistic Baby Boomer parents and bitter as adults dealing with the narcissistic Millenials. Ironically, our parents were the first ones to broader prefer working to rearing us, and Millenials are the first to demand parenting in all aspects of life. We're just sort of squished in the middle of idiots who created idiots.

Kidding (Gen X is cynical but Baby Boomers and Millenials seem to lack humor) ... sort of.

It really is all the Baby Boomers' fault who instilled the feminine ethos across our culture that is fully manifest in the Millenials.

This... Gen X. Raised on the belt and fear of disappointing my parents.

You just generally see a group of men / boys who lack any internal fortitude and women / girls who demand inclusion but not to be held accountable.

I try to talk to my boy and daughters from the perspective of life doesn’t owe you anything. Your mom and I invest in you to give you a foundation to go out into the world.

I’ve never argued for my kids grades. They get the grades they get and it is 100% their doing. I help them learn how to study and what’s expected. I don’t talk to their coaches in sports other than hello. Their play on the field and at practice dictates playing time. Nothing else.

Ah yeah... get off my lawn.

Remind me again how this works.

Player (or family or associate) accepts benefit from someone associated with Team A.  Player then goes on to sign with Team B.

In this scenario I am certain that both the Player and Team A can be penalized.  But does Team B also have liability?

  3. This will probably not make anyone else's favorite but 1989 when Peter Gardere won the game we had no business winning was huge for me and many fellow students.  The 80s were rough for the die hard faithful but I will never forget winning that game or the 3 to follow.

Team 11:00 here. Get drunk earlier, no lines, easier to leave after the game.

There was a year in the 80's that had an 11 am (I think) kick where Crown Royal sponsored the Tx Exes pregame... now that was a full throttle pregame. Don't think they've sponsored since.

The area basically makes the south side of Chicago look like boys scout convention.

You are not kidding - you could set up cameras around that stadium after a 7pm start and it would be like watching "Escape from NY"

  6. Arkansas is a non-factor, especially after getting punched in the face by UNT this past weekend. Would be kind of funny to see the Hogs somehow fall ass-backward into a win over Bama -- and finish the year with 4-5 wins.

I just want the hogs to beat the farmers. That’s it.

  7. Arguable, but more importantly, silly to argue.  That's like saying Gary Larsen was the least talented Purple People Eater, since Alan Page, Carl Eller, and Jim Marshall were more badass.  OK, sure, I guess.
(Personally, I'd put Kristofferson at the top of The Highwaymen, but that's a different argument.)

    Agreed re Kristofferson.

I mean is there anybody who has done what he’s done?
