It’s funny though because all the info out there says Michigan was presented with all the findings of the investigations in order to respond and failed to respond until forced. Their “discovery” is still probably that Ryan Day witch hunt.

yeah but discovery means that the B1G and Ohio State and everyone will also have to turn over all the stuff in the folder marked "secret conspiracy: DO NOT SHOW TO MICHIGAN"

So the Michigan position is "Yeah, we raped and murdered them.  Tortured a few animals, and burned down those buildings....but THAT guy called the cops!   He's the real problem!"

You got it, as long as you add in a “pretty much everyone else is having sex so rape is fine” and maybe a “murdering them didn’t actually do anything, those people are still doing fine” for good measure

I understand the difference in the rules and have clearly stated previously how I feel about Michigan. I agree what they did was above and beyond.

But how is the end result different? If Purdue receives Michigan’s offensive and defensive signs from other schools, they have their signs before the game, correct? They did not have to review game film or decipher the signs during the game.

Rules aside, from an integrity of the game perspective, how are they significantly different? It seems silly that the outcome of a game can be tilted based on whether you receive the opponents signs from another school or not.

It's just muddying up the discussion, which is exactly what michigan wants.  The two scenarios are significantly different in that one is against the rules, and one is not.  How you (or me, or anyone else) feel about coaches talking to their buddies about signs they might have observed during a game just confuses the issue. As soon as people shift over to debating about shit like whether there should be radios, or whether a good christian upstanding man should avert his eyes if he happens to see a signal going in from the opposing sideline or whether stealing signs is "part of the game" or "morally wrong" or whether or not Ryan Day is a scumbag or whatever the fuck else, that means people aren't talking about how there are clearly written rules that michigan broke many times over, and what punishments should be given for breaking those rules.  Which is a discussion that michigan people would absolutely love to delay until after the season after they've ordered their national championship t-shirts.

Every game michigan plays without a punishment right now, this season, is another set of consequences they have escaped.

Lynch mob?  Mich cheated by all definitions of the law and created doubt about the integrity of the sport.  Pete Rose was fried for much less.  There is a reason the rest of big10 wants a head on a pike.  But Mich is a victim here?   GTFAOH.

relax, brother.  pretty sure the noted Ohio state guy is not arguing that michigan is a victim here.

pretty sure this is just a, fuck you you want to take us down, we are going to drag you down with us maneuver. The info is still out there, but goes to show Jimmy is living deep inside Just for Men's head.

Yeah but it’s like “oh you’re gonna turn me in for murder?  Well how would you feel if I told everyone that you were rude to a waiter the other day?”

Not really a shocking takedown to find out that a college coach might be a bit of a dickhead

Also I kind of feel like maybe sending someone to illegally record your signals at like 8 different games shows that maybe coach shoe polish beard might also have nice a little place reserved in harbaughs head too

Do we know who Harbaugh paid to off him?

harbaugh didn't pay anyone to off him, how dare you suggest such a thing.

He merely wondered aloud "why doesn't someone just kill the sonofabitch" while looking pointedly at his personal assistant.  he then left the room and a wad of cash fell out of his pocket rubber banded to a note that said "hit man money".  His assistant then hired someone to kill the guy.  But it was a total coincidence and the assistant was a lone wolf who acted alone.  Pay no attention to the entry in Harbaugh's quicken that lists a $5000 expense for "killing of that dude who exposed our pedophile staffer", Jim knew nothing about it.  Also the thank you note that said "thanks for taking care of boopac shakur" signed by Jim Harbaugh could have been about any boopac shakur.  And the signature looks fake anyway.

What I don't want to see is that teams go to radios and then the coaches are giving them all of the pre snap reads and telling them where to throw up until the ball is snapped. It will incentivize teams to go up tempo again so that the coaches can make reads at the line once they see the defense.

Don’t the radios shut off at a certain point of the play clock in the nfl? Like 15 seconds left on the play clock or something like that?

I agree. If the NCAA weren’t useless we’d have radios in helmets and it’s not left up to the coaches. Naturally, if left to their own devices without a competent governing body, of course many want to keep stealing signs and don’t want radios—they count on their advantage of sign stealing. Weak ass NCAA.

Why just make clear rules that would clean up the dirty aspects of the game when you can just leave the rules and enforcement up to the scumbag used car salesmen?
