That’s because it’s a down year instate and they’re picking from greener pastures.
I don't have a new copy of the Aggy Excuse Manual but is this their latest rationalization?

Fisher's decline at FSU can be traced directly to the falloff in the OL. Most of the blame fell on Rick Trickett but it's interesting that beyond the guys that played last year that were recruited by Jim Turner that A&M has suddenly developed a lot of issues.
I'm not saying that there's a correlation but it is interesting nonetheless.
This is fucking revisionist history. Hilarious. Trickett implemented the OL scheme Jimbo wanted and dictated during his entire tenure. He controlled recruiting to the degree that he wanted to sign off on offers and dictate recruiting to his staff. Fisher also dictates to DCs what schemes they will run. Jeremy Pruitt was complemented at a booster event for his defense and he corrected the person saying "It's Jimbo's defense". Before and after Pruitt, Mark Stoops and Charles Kelly also ran whatever scheme Jimbo told them to. Blaming the position coaches and coordinators is pure bullshit.
Aside from that, OL was not the only reason for FSU's decline. The culture of that program was rotted inside and out from Fisher's management style. WR and LB recruiting were dogshit as well. Dude left so many holes in that roster that placing it squarely on the OL is disingenuous. The OL was complete trash but that is not at all the "direct" reason.

What are your thoughts on who has the upper hand of recruiting the state of Texas right now and moving forward?
There's zero doubt that the upper hand in-state belongs to Texas A&M, and that's likely to continue through the remainder of this cycle..especially if the Ags win the next couple of important battles for in-state top-10 talents that they currently find themselves in for Haynes King and Vernon Broughton. Some believe Devon Achane is a state top-10 guy too, and if I had to pencil Zach Evans to go anywhere right now, I'm not sure I could do it, but if you asked me whether he's more likely to end up at A&M or Texas, I'd go with Maroon & White over Burnt Orange.

Damn, that sounds like a surly parody of looch. He trolls his customers with shit like this, they lap it up and get right back in line for a refill.
The propaganda machine works as well as ever, leading 75% of those rubes thinking the beat Clemson because last years game was close, and UGA is a foregone conclusion for near every single one of them. UT beat UGA because they didn't want to be there, so obviously aggy will beat them too because they lost to UT means they must not be very good. fucking aggy logic pretzel.
Astonishing isn't it? I especially enjoyed the comment about the Matt Hayes article being a hit piece. Is it really a hit piece if everything in the Hayes article is true?

The volleyball gif and Ritz Bits are very amusing.
A serious question: did Jimbo recruit well in metropolitan areas while at FSU? I have no idea what the answer is. If the answer is no, then he may not be a great recruiter in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Fort Worth.
Maybe the cowboy boots and fast-talking hillbilly routine don't play well with urban kids.
Just a guess on my part. I have no evidence.
He recruited South Florida very well but that was due mostly to James Coley's connections and then Brewster. He never recruited Tampa well at all. His recruiting in the Bay area was pretty shitty actually. Recruiting in Jacksonville and Orlando were meh.

Demas is great, and is probably the best prospect in the state. Too bad for him he's going to Jimbo's offense that sucks at highlighting talented receivers. Unless he ends up at IMG with a conveyer belt of bags from Georgia, Bama, and the Florida schools arriving to his dorm.
This is what I've never been able to wrap my head around with Demas. As a HC, Fisher has had a total of 3 WRs put into the league, only one of which was a 1st rounder. His offense isn't designed for a kid like Demas.
It's even more comical when I see Aggy making comments about who or what school doesn't put kids in the league.

Delusions of grandeur: Types and symptoms - Medical News Today
Apr 27, 2018 · A delusion of grandeur is a false or unusual belief about one's greatness. A person may believe, for instance, that they are famous, can end world wars, or that they are immortal. Delusions of grandeur, also called grandiose delusions, often accompany other mental health symptoms, including other delusions."See Aggy"

Come on man.
There was a family or personal connection to the coach that made it a forgone conclusion.
Don't remember exact connection.
I've always been told his parents were acquainted with Mark Richt and his wife.

Glad they got an ex A&M tight end to build an article concerning OGs around. Impressive.
According to his bio, he's also the Board Chairman of TexAgs.com.....whatever the fuck a board chairman of a message board does.

Ther were plenty of rumors last year that Jumbo was a megalomaniac and pissed off several key people on his own staff. Allegedly that is part of the reason Brewster bolted.
His megalomania was well known at FSU so the rumors are probably true

The problem has been diagnosed - "the PC movement and social media". Guess aggy ain't ready for the future after all.
Jimbo recruited against Miami and UF when they were both dumpster fires and Clemson wasn't even a blip on the radar. He over-recruited skill positions and neglected the OL and LB corps to get those top 5 classes.
Smoke, mirrors and revisionist history by Aggy.....as usual.

Yeah, no implosion tendencies from Jimbo Fisher at all. Coaches who throw coffee in staffers faces and get forced to go to Anger Management classes by the FSU president need not apply.
