  1. Yeah, here is the original as told by Kurkjian

In spring training 1999, Rickey Henderson of the Mets was reunited with first baseman John Olerud, who had been his teammate with the Blue Jays six years earlier. As most people know, Olerud had an aneurysm in college, which required brain surgery. So to protect his head, he was allowed to wear a helmet in the field. As the story goes, Henderson was talking to Olerud one day, noticed the helmet and said “You know, when I played in Toronto, we had a guy who wore a helmet.”

“Rickey,” said Olerud, “that was me.”

    I wouldn’t bitch if I had to pay $75, it’s fucking great.

I would pay $75 if I saw it in the wild, mainly because I never have

  4. Crystal Beach sees worse every hour on the hour. Bleeding it wasn’t an issue.

Kiddie pool wasn’t mine, pic was when a neighboring group wanted to see what we caught.

I think I told this story on the old site but the shark hit when I was between sand bars and in water about to my ears. The bait fish were hanging in the water. I almost drown trying to fight it while treading water in the surf, took me a couple of minutes to fight/swim back to a comfortable depth.

I am starting to laugh when I hear talk of Carlos Correa being a $400million man. He’s made of glass and misses 40+ every year and, frankly, his offensive numbers are good, not really great. I’m sure he’ll go on the DL and miss the next month+ just as we face competition we should be destroying. Ridiculous.

To be fair his numbers when he actually played last year were excellent by any measure

But the injury deal is spot on.  Not that we have to worry about that any time soon ($400M contract)

  6. This hits close to home.  Or when I’m about to close my eyes to go to sleep that is the perfect time to plan our trip in 4 months.

Or ask if I could do 12 things she could possibly think of that either of us could have done 30’minutes ago...
